I ordered the Katsu Don for takeout and was really impressed. The chicken was juicy, the sauce was flavorful, and the portion size was great for the price. My order was ready super fast — definitely recommend!

Ordered uber eats deal. Buy any two rolls get two free (8 pieces each roll) selected spicy California and shrimp tempura. They sent 4 pieces of shrimp tempura and the rest were all California rolls. False advertising. Should have checked the google reviews before I ordered to avoid the disappointment. Would not recommend ordering from here. We both became very ill after eating.

Avoid like the goddamn plague. Got food poisoning from a uber eats bogo poke bowl 09/07/2025. My partner assumed it was the Danforth location.

Already reported to DineSafeTO.

It was definitely the tuna, tasted off so I didn't finish my bowl. Turns out I ate enough to get sick. The corn was hard and stale too. The places deserve to close, service/safety this poor post-pandemic is insulting.

If the food not order from any Platform, that is really bad. Low quality.

I’ve tried everything from hidden gems to top-rated omakase spots. Monkey Sushi, unfortunately, lands squarely in the “basic sushi” category. The rice is a real letdown—mushy, bland, and definitely not up to sushi-grade standards, lacking that signature balance of texture and subtle vinegar flavor you expect. There’s zero passion in the prep, and the taste is so uninspired that you’ll find yourself reaching for soy sauce just to make it palatable. Even the fish is forgettable, nothing that stands out in quality. If you’re searching for the best sushi in Toronto, or even just decent sushi takeout, I’d skip Monkey Sushi. There are far better sushi restaurants in Toronto for both quality and value.

Tough times. Tough chices.

Decent for what you pay for. Makes up for lack of freshness with big portions.

Ok I guess? Depends on how hungry you are.

Staff were exemplary and peerless. 10/10
