First of all, dogs are not allowed in the backyard here but the real problem is how we were treated when we simply asked about it.

We opened the café door to politely check if dogs were allowed. The barista — a short woman with short hair — immediately frowned and shouted multiple times, “Dogs are not allowed anywhere in this café,” even though we weren’t even inside.

If you work in the service industry, kindness should be rule number one. A respectful way to respond would have been something like:

“Oh, I’m sorry, but dogs aren’t allowed. You’re welcome to order and sit at the front where we have chairs. Sorry for the inconvenience your dog is adorable.”

Instead, what we got was unnecessary rudeness, hostility, and a complete lack of basic courtesy. The interaction was so aggressive that I can’t help but wonder if there was more to it perhaps they treat diverse customers differently.

If you care about respectful treatment, inclusivity, and basic decency in the places you support, I strongly recommend avoiding this café. In my opinion, their values seem to be: No dogs, no respect, no diversity, and shouting at customers.

I had to go downtown and, as usual, was on the lookout for a nice café to try—and this spot caught my eye. Street parking was surprisingly easy and free, which was a nice bonus.

The staff welcomed me with a warm smile, and I instantly felt comfortable. I loved the interior décor—hip yet cozy—and I appreciated that they support local artists. The back patio added to the comfy, laid-back vibe, and they also sell some cute goodies near the register.

The little dog treats by the door were such a sweet and thoughtful touch.

I ordered a flat white, which was smooth and not too strong—just how I like it. The scone was fresh and delicious.

I was told that they also have 2nd location on west side. Woupd love to try there as well.

Overall, a lovely experience. I’ll definitely be back!

Food was extremely mediocre, staff and atmosphere are very nice. Ordered a Danish and eggplant provolone sandwich. Both taste like they were mass produced except it's even worse than the Starbucks ones, albeit being more expensive. Was looking forward to this visit :(

I have been a regular client and have used their frequent client ‘get a free 10th drink’ stamp card, to the point I have almost filled both sides. Is a cute cafe with lovely vibe and intimate patio at the back. Generally the service has been good. I would rate the service higher if the cashier would hand or place back my stamp card instead of tossing it. Also, if the wifi signal at the patio was more stable it would allow to make more use of the patio.

Coffee is excellent and I’m a coffee snob!

by far, my fav place ! the matcha was amazing, nutty and rich! the breakfast sandwich was really delicious, i will be visiting for that again! 😭 the custard danish was amazing as well. 100/100 for me!

The chai latte with oat milk is positively divine! A must-try for any latte fans. This is such a nice spot too.

The cinnamon bun latte was great and the vibes inside were cute and cozy. P.S. the lip liner was NYX soft spoken :)!! thanks

The food and coffee here was sooo delicious!! I got the cinnamon bun latte and turkey brie sandwich, and I enjoyed both of them a ton :)) will definitely be back for the sandwich in particular it was so yummyyyyy texturally perfect and gooey inside and crunchyyyy outside :D
