I had a very nice experience at Mother! The drinks were presented beautifully and I love the drink names, the unique ingredients and the flavour notes on the menu! I tried the Truffle Croissant which had a nice smoky flavour. There were so many other drinks I wanted to try and I’m excited to come back again.

Had a wonderful experience here. Although we didn’t have a reservation, we were seated immediately at the bar and made to feel very welcome.
The experience was engaging from start to finish. The bartender was exceptional — knowledgeable, warm, and attentive — and the rest of the staff were equally friendly and thoughtful throughout our visit. We felt genuinely well taken care of.
The cocktails were excellent and beautifully crafted. It was an all-around memorable experience, and we’re very much looking forward to returning.

No words, just gotta say although it was really busy, the bartenders acknowledged us several times to let us know our drinks were coming which was appreciated, two people handling complex drinks with a full house is impressive itself. Tartare was good but the jerk karaage was REALLY nice. I’ll definitely be back, the experience and service was a 10/10. Don’t come in a rush, this is a place for you to take your time and appreciate the drinks.

This bar was highly recommended and it didn't disappoint. We sat at the bar and had drinks and food. Everything was great, we tried a drink from the menu and had a dealers choice that they use selected ingredients from the bar. @_volkov_kirill_ was our Bartender. Next time I travel to Toronto I will be back

While many know Mother for it's cocktails (Mother was ranked 44 on the world's 50 best bars list in 2025), I had been hearing great things about their food program and decided to give it a try. That was a great decision, as their food was some of the best I had in a while!
Their jerk chicken karage was unique, flavourful, and elegantly put together. A must try!
The steak dish was excellent as well, cooked perfectly, slathered with a flavorful sauce, and served with a bone marrow corn side that was unlike anything I've ever tasted.
The udon noodles were good too, but the other dishes definitely shined above this one.

Mother's is definitely one of the best Cocktail bars in Toronto. Our server was very very friendly and knowledgeable. She made me and my parents feel very welcomed. She recommended us Claire De Lune and visions of Oaxaca which were absolutely delicious. The jerk chicken karaage was delicious. Overall a 5 star experience. Would definitely return!!

From start to finish I had a lovely time here both nights I paid a visit. Massi might be one of the best bartenders that I've ever had serve me, and made me feel right at home. Harry as well was absolutely phenomenal during my second visit.
Kudo's to the whole team, who have helped make a bar that is simply captivating. If I ever return to Toronto, I know exactly where I'm heading first.

Fantastic drinks and food here. The sliders and beef tartare are complex in flavor but not overcomplicated, and the Casablanca cocktail was our favorite!
Service was really great too, the servers are really friendly and attentive, drinks and food also came really fast.
My only complaint is the tall chairs and table we got seated at was not very comfy, the leg space was really tight.
