i have a conflicted opinion about this because the food was amazing, hot and fresh and very tasty and the service was fast... however the restaurant was empty and there were fruit flies in our booth? flying around our food. it was a very damp day so maybe that was it? but idk. this is the kind of food that really should be enjoyed in a restaurant but based on this experience maybe delivery would be better.

I gotta admit. I’ve been here three times this past two weeks. Genuinely one of the BEST tonkatsu places in Toronto.
The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. I love that it’s not a huge place. Authentic and cosy!

The food. Oh my god the food. To start with the miso, it’s perfectly seasoned. Not too salty or too watery like other places that offer miso. We have constantly been getting the pork loin/tenderloin katsu curry and YOU HAVE TO TRY IT! The pork is always beautifully cooked. Especially the tenderloin which is like butter. The curry sauce is so delicious and is a great way to warm up this cold season. I almost never finish my plates at restaurants but with Mr.Tonkatsu I can’t help but wolf down the whole thing it’s so good. Especially with the amazing portion sizes for the price, you’re getting a great deal and even better food. My partner and I can’t wait to be back again! Definitely is going to be a regular spot for us. Please don’t hesitate to go I promise you won’t regret it.

I got the cash and carry (total was only $10!) to try the place out. The service was fast. The katsu was freshly made, and inside even had cheese! The taste is great, the sauce balances out the richness from the cheese. It also came with a miso soup.

This place used to be our go to tonkatsu spot. Now it went downhill. Meat doesnt have flavour anymore, very bland. They charge for extra rice and soup now, used to be complementary when you eat in the restaurant. Also customer service is bad. Will definitely not coming back.
I work close by and my goto meal is the Cash-n-carry special. You cant go wrong with $10 no tax with the price on top of the food is really good too!

The food was amazing, it tasted so fresh and delicious. The breading on the Tonkatsu was unlike any other breading I've had in a really good way. It has a nice sweet flavour. Kaoru and Milan were so kind, friendly and helpful! I felt welcomed and appreciated as a customer! A++
