Their apple cake is amazing- well worth the visit even if you only get that. Prices are surprisingly very affordable. The owners are friendly, and you'll frequently see them chatting with customers.

1. Great service and attitude.
2. Fresh, tasty baked goods1
That's it.
The perfect little neighbourhood spot. Affordable food that you can quickly eat in or grab and go. The vibes are warm and welcoming with the owner running the joint right up front.
Got the chili on the rocks and it came with a healthy serving of salad for an actually balanced meal that didn't sit heavy throughout the rest of the work day. And as everyone else has already said about this place, the apple cake is a must get.

Nice people with inexpensive meals❤️
Walked in here for the first time as I had to get to work earlier than usual. I was automatically welcomed by the owner and we struck up a conversation. Got the bagel and coffee deal with a slice of the apple cake. The apple cake was the highlight. I'm sold on why the reviews are so high. Worth the visit and will be back again. There are some big chain coffee shops around the area. Do yourself a favour and skip those and go here for affordable and tasty food along with great service.

Walked into here for the first time looking for a quick and affordable lunch.
Saw there was a line formed inside so knew it had to be good. The owner behind the counter was welcoming to all who walked in and encouraged couples to hug to make room for more customers through the door.
The chalkboard menu was easy to read and had a great variety of pita sandwiches and bagels.
Our orders were made fresh and fast and we were playfully lured into buying a whole loaf of banana bread instead of two individual pieces because it was a better deal.

Visited on a Saturday lunchtime. It was well worth visiting for the experience. Established 33 years ago according to the owner the cafe has a comprehensive menu of sandwiches/wraps and the owner always asks if you would like apple cake! The entertaining thing was the banter the owner had with all the customers and there was a steady stream of customers during lunchtime. Patrons mostly picked up their lunch to go, however, there are a few tables and usually some spare seating. I went for the $10 lunch special, which comprised of a wrap a small soup and a cookie. So I supplemented with a medium coffee for $1.75 extra. The chicken wrap was pretty good and there was a generous portion of chicken. The small lentil soup was also good. Salad can be one of the subsititutes along with fries. The cookie was good although I'm glad I had purchased a coffee to go with the cookie. The establishment has character and is kept clean. Prices were pretty inexpensive for downtown Toronto.

I had the most delicious tuna wrap with lentil soup that completely blew my mind. The owner is an absolute delight, and the prices can’t be beat. Such a gem of a spot — I’ll definitely be coming back!

APPLE CAKE!! 😍😍
By far the best place I’ve been to. I just got 2 soups (lentil and chilli) and let me tell you, it was the best soup I’ve ever had. I get soo disappointed going to other places because they just don’t make it right, but this place did the job😁
