I just realized I’ve never left Mystic Muffin a review! I started coming here in 2009, since I was a poor student at Ryerson. I’d swing by on my way to a class and pick up some baked goods, breakfast sandwiches, and sometimes a wrap. Really loved this place and happy to see that it’s still around! This is definitely the definition of what a hidden gem is. Amazing food, great ownership. One of the best spots in the city.
Mystic Muffin is one of those rare spots that feels like a secret shared among locals—a true hidden gem nestled on Jarvis Street. From the moment you approach its quirky storefront, complete with a sign that cheekily reads “27 years in business, 73 billion served,” you know you’re in for something special.

You cannot go wrong. This is the place that brightens your day instantly. The owner is super nice and funny whenever we are there. The Apple Cake -- every time we try it we are blown away. We bought half a loaf of the apple cake ($12) and honestly we will finish it in one go.
