The place is good and service is quick. However, I found the food to be okayish. We ordered some chicken dish, which was okay. I was looking forward to trying peri peri fries. I expected the peri peri fries to be slightly tastier than the peri peri fries I had somewhere else. But here they simply put some peri peri spice over regular fries. It wasn't well mixed with the fries.
The food was great though it was disgusting to see no one was wearing gloves. Such an unhygienic thing. The manager and all the staff used bare hands to cook, arrange and serve. Ruining the franchise.
The chicken was cooked well and tasted fine, but it had no sauce at all. Coming from South Africa, I’m used to Nando’s being full of flavour, with the chicken smothered in the sauce you choose. This had none. Not even a drizzle.
It was still enjoyable, but felt incomplete. Would love to see it made the traditional South African way, with the sauce fully coating the chicken. That’s what gives it a proper lekker kick.
Great service!
First time being to a Nandos downtown, loved it! Great seating, doesn't feel cramped. The fries were meh, and seemed like the frozen type, empty shells. Everything else was good. This Nandos is halal!

1 star for the coleslaw. The chicken was a colossal disappointment. This is the worst location in GTA. The concept of marination is alien to the employees of this location. The chicken tasted like chewing boiled duck feet.

They ran out of the food we ordered twice and their servers were very dismissive, never brought us water, and seemed to not care.
2024 update: hadn’t been here in a while. Staff is still quite rude and food took over 40 min.

I do not recommend this place.
You are forced to pay (and tip) before you sit down and receive your food so if you tip and the service is bad, there is no way to take it back.
Our food took forty minutes to be served and when it came, the food was cold. We watched people come in after us and get served before us. We also never received any water despite attempting to flag down the servers many times to get their attention. We ended up getting the water after we finished eating.
Overall just not a good experience on a day which was not even particularly busy. For how expensive it is, there are much better restaurants in the area.

Always delicious, always quick service! Love a visit to Nando’s for a tasty and well priced dinner. And as a GoodLife member you can get an additional 10% off!
Personally I have a low spice tolerance, so I opt for the lemon and herb chicken and the peri peri fries. And the garlic bread is not to be missed!!
