Vibes for days!
After making the unfortunate mistake of getting a Macdonalds mocha earlier in the day, while in a rush, I had to rectify the disaster that was, and thankfully Neo Coffee Bar came through!
Also, did I mention the vibes?

I was waiting at the cash register for 10 min waiting to order and I spent the time staring at few fruit flies flying in the cookie counter. I’d much prefer the one on bloor where the service and cleanliness was better

I passed by and went in to buy a sandwich while I was waiting for an appointment. I had a large cup of Tim Hortons with me when I approached the cashier. The cashier clearly saw the cup, yet I was still allowed to order food, keep my drink, pay, and even tip. This wasn’t a regular drink . it was a specific herbal tea I needed, and it’s not something this coffee bar sells.

After I sat down for a while and started eating, the same cashier suddenly came up to me and, without any politeness, said, “We don’t allow outside food or drinks.” There was no courtesy, no explanation, and no question like, “Would you mind taking your drink outside?” It felt rude and unnecessary.

If this was the policy, I should have been told before paying and sitting down — not after. I didn’t want to argue, so I left, but I felt very offended by the way it was handled.

To make things worse, I had just been polite about the fact that their egg salad sandwich was extremely salty, and I didn’t even complain. I paid $10 for that. Overall, this was the worst customer service and coffee shop experience I’ve had in a long time.

Absolutely love this coffee bar. Their food is wonderful (not too sweet, delicately made, not too filling nor rich). Their service is good and the decor is right. The only grief I have is with their customers, who are well-mannered, well-dressed mostly but there has been some selfish behaviour that is very frustrating. Yesterday, in the evening, by the bench and small round tables and seats on the side near the entrance, my friend and I noticed three couples of different cultural backgrounds and genders, all well-dressed with each couple sitting side-by-side (instead of facing each other) thus occupying 4 seats per group of two. Their coats and belongings were placed casually beside them which took up even more space. No traces of cups nor plates could be spotted which made us wonder if these folks were abusing the system and taking advantage of the kindness of the shopkeeper by simply occupying this wonderful place for chats without ordering anything. I hope I have misjudged the situation and I am just bringing this to the owner's attention as I'd very much like their business to prosper.

Great spot near my office. Coffees are high quality, love that this spot offers oat milk (and other alternative milks) free of charge unlike other coffee spots. The blueberry-blackberry muffin is toooooo good!!

As a coffee lover, I can confidently say this spot serves some of the best espresso around! There’s plenty of seating, making it a great place to work or relax. The atmosphere is calm, with just the right amount of background music to keep things chill. The café itself is beautifully designed, and the desserts are absolutely delicious. Definitely a must-visit for coffee and dessert enthusiasts!

got the genmaicha tea. it tasted awful, kinda muddy? might be an acquired taste. the person behind the counter was super sweet tho.
