Dylon from Vidal barbershop recommended this place to me….customer service was stellar! So kind and engaging. Tasted lemon and grapefruit gelatos (V), which were just the right balance of tart, refreshing and sweet. Chose their 70% chocolate gelato with black cherry (V) gelato as the ice cream equivalent of a Black Forest cake…was transported to Venice with the chocolate gelato alone…velvety and unctuous. It was a moment of glory the Junction served up today…

I guess I’ve become an old school Millennial—but, I still think there’s real value in good customer service. I’ve been a customer at Noctua for quite a while and have always enjoyed the baked goods and coffee. But recently, I’ve started going to other local spots on my morning walk for a coffee and a treat.

I don’t normally leave negative reviews, especially for local businesses I want to support. But the decline in customer service over the past few months has been noticeable—and it seems others have picked up on it too. I’m not asking for much. I worked as a barista at a bakery for years, so I understand that you can’t always be on. But a simple “hello” or “thank you” goes a long way in making customers feel welcome.

It’s a small thing, but it makes a big difference.

A cute neighbourhood cafe with some nice pastries, coffee, and gelato.

We got the savoury Danish as well as the pain au chocolat. The Danish was tasty while the pain au chocolat was standard. Probably on the pricier end for pastries.

A couple seats inside the cafe and in the summer, there are a couple seats outside the shop which makes for a nice atmosphere.

While the atmosphere was lovely and food was decent, service would be the biggest knock as the employee was curt and not very friendly.

Overall a fine spot to stop by for briefly.

I’ve been coming to this spot since they opened and it’s a neighborhood gem! Some of the best pastries in the city, plus great ice cream, sandwiches, coffee and seasonal treats like pannetone.

They don't show price tag, mediocre pastries quality and poor customer service.

Dry pastries, especially the kouign-amann. Tasted like white bread.... There was a fly crawling all over the pastries. Let the Bakery know, they said they'll ask the pastry chefs but never heard back.

The bakery in this store is absolutely stunning, with an inviting atmosphere that captures your attention as soon as you walk in. The display of freshly baked goods is not only visually appealing but also reflects high quality in both taste and presentation. During my visit, I had the pleasure of engaging in a delightful conversation while savoring some of their treats in a calm and peaceful environment. The staff was friendly and welcoming, contributing to the overall positive experience. I would definitely recommend this bakery to anyone looking for a wonderful place to relax and enjoy delicious baked goods.

Love the baked goods at this bakery - made with care and a very enjoyable treat! The sourdough bread is a must.

First time here - first impression everything looked over baked. I ordered latte (extra hot/no foam), egg and cheese brioche, and vanilla donut eat in.
Coffee was not hot, inch of foam on the top; egg brioche was dry asked to warm up…didn’t help. Donut was cold for 9am in the morning and not moist at all. Unfortunately the wood slatted bistro tables and chairs were not sturdy, even a small nudge resulted in a third of my coffee spilling…stuff happens. Don’t think I would try a second time. All good, seems to be a local favourite (steady customers while here).

The pastries were very tasty and they do offer many of them to choose from. I wasn't a fan of not knowing how much my items would be until I got to the register though.

The coffee has an interesting fruity note to it that I haven't had at other bakeries.

The pistachio croissant has a cream filling which was nice.

Food is good but very expensive. Red headed girl at the front is unpleasant and rude. Feels like she is doing me a favour charging $6 for a croissant and then pissy when i don’t tip $2

The breads and croissants are expensive but delicious. They don't post the list of ingredients lists and the prices. And why is the staff so unpleasant?

Cookies were stale like they'd been sitting out for days. If there was any flavour to be discerned, it was that of margarine.
