Our first visit to Nodo was great. The food was absolutely fantastic. There was a lot of variety of pizza and there were a lot of people picking up some for takeout. A complete set of options for pastas. A short list of secondi kept some choices simple: 1 beef, 1 chicken, 1 fish, etc. We shared a really good salad (with pear, walnut, Gorgonzola, parmigiana on arugula with a light poppyseed dressing). My partner enjoyed a perfectly made and cooked pasta with a tasty assortment of mushrooms. I had the short ribs that was large and delicious, also with a giant mushrooms that was a creamy texture and lighter flavour. We were too full to entertain the notion of desert.
Service was mature and knowledgeable— just right. If I was to try to find something to criticize it would be the sound because the place was pretty busy for a Sunday night and the music in the background seemed to be some droning techno beat on an endless loop that made hearing harder without actually adding discernible “music” to the atmosphere.
The prices are high, I do need to warn you, but not out of line for the flavour, size of portions, and presentation. Though pricier than I am accustomed to, it was casual not snobby.
We arrived around 8 PM with a reservation, and our order was taken shortly after we were seated. However, we waited 40 minutes without receiving anything. Eventually, another waitress came over to apologize and offered to take our order again, as if it had never been placed. This situation was extremely unprofessional. Typically, when such situations occur, restaurants offer something as a gesture of apology. In our case, we were simply asked to place the order again.
Absolutely fantastic service, food, and the wine selection is beyond extensive.
Rude behavior
Came in with a very large group. Everyone was so welcoming. The food and service was 10/10
Had a great dinner here last night. Ordered the duck ragu pasta and it was delicious and filling. Recommended.
I loved the pasta Genovese. So yummy
Ordered take out last night Tonnarelli // NODO 'Spaghetti & Meatballs'. It was not eatable! The worst pasta I have ever eaten. Way over priced as well. Meatballs were the size of marbles! Never again for me and anyone else I can advise don’t eat there!
Amazing service and really great food, main course portions are big enough to bring some home for leftovers. So glad to have such a nice restaurant in our
neighbourhood.
One of the best Italian restaurant in Toronto and the food is always great and very consistent.
Beautiful restaurant as well and the staff are always happy to serve you.
Always if you like duck, you need to try their Duck Ragu, wow 🤤🤌
Highly recommended.

We had a great valentine’s three-course dinner there. Had a good time. Our waiter looks like Tom Cruise. A very nice guy. It’s understandable the food was served a little bit slow because it was Valentine’s Day. The kitchen was so busy. They tried their best. The risotto I ordered is salty for me. So, I gave 4 stars for food. But I know a lot of people like salty. The king shrimps are were fresh. It’s just not for me.
A truly great addition to a newly upscale culinary neighborhood. Professional service without typical urban Canadian indifference.
The grilled octopus was so delicious! The truffle parpadelle was a great portion with a very generous amount of several types of delicious mushrooms. Tiramisu was also very good and again, good portion. Service was extremely good with very attentive wait staff always making sure you have everything you need and topping up our water and wine.
I'd go back!
I’ll start with the positive—the food was great. However, the one-star rating is well deserved, and here’s why.
Service was painfully slow, and our server suggested adding appetizers to our dinner without informing us of the 90-minute table limit. By 7:10, our meals finally arrived, and we still had half a bottle of wine left. The server kept checking in, asking how the first few bites were before I had even taken one—the food was still too hot to eat. By 7:15, while we were still eating, he asked if he could wrap up our meals. That was frustrating enough, but then at 7:25, he returned to tell us, word for word, that our time was up and we had to leave the table immediately.
I asked what we were supposed to do with the half-full bottle of wine, as we were walking home and didn’t feel comfortable taking it with us. After five minutes, the server returned and simply handed me a bottle cork, saying, “Here is the solution.” I found this ridiculous and asked to be moved to another table or even a waiting area so we could finish our wine and my friend could complete her meal. He refused, saying the next available table wouldn’t be until 7:40-7:50.
At that point, I asked if they could at least comp the wine, considering how rushed and uncomfortable the experience had been. He said he’d speak to his manager, and they ended up taking $30 off our bill. But when he returned, he loudly announced, “Here ma’am, you saved quite a bit of money.” This was never about money—it was about having a relaxed evening with my friend. I felt absolutely SICK to my stomach and I said excuse me? I saved quite a bit of money how dare you?
I gave the bottle to the patrons next to us, who were just as shocked by the level of service. I don't know if this was the servers first time in the industry but he needs to be trained immiedately on how to talk to guests or maybe this isn't the right industry for him.
I will NEVER return to any Nodo location and will be sure to share this experience with others in the neighbourhood.
Good luck—times are tough, and I won’t be spending my money here. Bye-bye.
Ordered a mocktail for my wife (pregnant), and then waiter brings an alcoholic drink! After we asked to confirm the waiter blames us that we ordered wrong - even though we said “no-groni “ and while pointing on the mocktail menu. Really bad service
