Cool artsy, vibey cafe. Almost like a museum or event space. You can work here but its not like the best space for it. The owner is super chill.

Playground is a quiet little spot with great coffee and delicious pastries. It’s the perfect place to unwind — whether you’re reading, working, or just chatting. The cozy, hipster vibe gives it plenty of charm, and it’s also a surprisingly good spot for a casual date — relaxed, intimate, and effortlessly cool.

Service is ok, only one person working. Barista not friendly, but not rude. Interior was a lot smaller than I thought. Much more run-down than I expected. I felt uncomfortable sitting in there. On a positive note, it is dog friendly!

Service was slow when I went, but there seemed to be only one barista on shift so my friends and I were pretty understanding. They told me they were out of many menu items and other necessary ingredients to which I wasn’t too put off by, but the barista got my drink order wrong which I paid extra for (and did not get compensated for) alongside messing up the croffle I ordered, which took 20 minutes to make and came out cold and soggy. I chalked it all up to only having one staff on shift, but by the time I was going to leave the barista started whispering for who I presumed was her coworker just sitting at one of the tables with their headphones in and on their computer.

Unprofessional conduct, not great service, drinks and food were mid at best. Maybe I was just having a bad day, but I wouldn’t come back here.

I been 3 times and it was closed on two occasions with a note left on the door and the time I was there I was greeted with a rushed person that didnt explain menu or anything. Items are expensive also.

With the coffee culture blowing up now in Toronto, you expect to have a perfect cup everytime. Place looks cool, unfortunately coffee wasn’t great. Milk and espresso were both burned.
