A hidden gem on king street I can't stop thinking about the tomato bisque it was soo good and the paninis are pretty big with high quality ingredients and the staff are so friendly :))

I actually ate here back in 2023 on a trip I took to Toronto, but am writing in November 2024. I want to express how delicious the soups and sandwiches really are here! Whenever I’m looking for a tomato bisque like nook’s, it’s impossible to find in the US. Nothing has ever compared to the home style feeling of their bisque and pesto panini. I think about this place often, and consider flying back just to have another taste. Hands-down my all time favorite lunch spot around Toronto.

I’ve been going to this location for lunches for about 2 years now and I must say: the staff here are all so nice 😭 I have a specific order note I add to every one of my orders and even when I forget to do it, they always add it back for me bc they remember! Today the note was missed and one of the staff that knows me was on his lunch break but when he saw me walk in, he got up to add the note back to my order. He didn’t have to do that but so nice that he did!!

Wow I am very very pleased with the quality of the food here. I got the Cancun Chicken Panini with the Mango Coleslaw which was to die for. $15 combo for lunch, now I know I will come here on my lunch break more often.
Always friendly and always tasty. The Mango Coleslaw is delicious, the Tuna Melt is superb. Very nice folks here, definitely worth visiting.....a lot.

The service was really fast and good. I had the pesto chicken panini + mango salad, while my friend had the spicy chicken panini + soup. I really enjoyed my lunch and highly recommend both! My only critique is that if you decide to sit outdoors, the bees may bother you as they are attracted to the flowers.
My new go-to spot for lunch. Always choose their creamy curry chicken sandwich with the beets and mango-cabbage salads. All well balanced. The only CON I'd share is of course paninis are TOUGH and HARD once it's grilled, but also just is a concrete by itself as is. If there was the option for softer breads, I'd probably go here more often.
