The most allergy friendly Indian restaurant I have ever been to, and the food is consistently incredible. Can't believe it's taken me so long to review this absolute treasure that harkens back to the 'Old Junction'. Milk, egg, wheat, and nut allergy friendly dishes are plentiful. The beef vindaloo, mushroom bhaji, and rice pulao are must gets, but the vegetable pakora and onion bhajia are absolute perfection. They can spice things up or down to your preference upon request. Which ever way you like it, you're sure to enjoy.Dietary restrictions: Friendly to EpiPen-level milk, egg, wheat, nuts, and fish allergy. Not sure if alterations are made to accommodate, but either way, they've never made a mistake so all the better. The food is incredible whether you have allergies or not. If you've been left out of Indian food because of a milk allergy, I feel you. This is the restaurant you've been looking for.

We came to this restaurant reading all the reviews and were very excited to eat here and we were hungry. We ordered one malai kofta, one chicken tikka, dal makhni, garlic naan, paratha and chapati. We waited for around 25 mins to get the order. I’m a pure vegetarian. When the order arrived I noticed that instead of malai kofta I got paneer tikka masala. I was very disappointed. Then I asked the server that I got the wrong dish to which he replied that “why did you put it in plate then” it was very rude. I waited for 15 more mins. When it arrived it was tasting very very bad. I told the manager that it was tasteless and if he can take the dish back as I was very disappointed. He then started to argue with me that tell me how does it taste like and if I have eaten the dish before. I was so shocked to here all this. Very horrifying experience with the food and service.P.S- Chicken tikka and dal makhani were decent.

I've had a lot of Indian food and this is some of the best I've had, definitely worth the price! Can't recommend this place enough!

One of the WORST restaurants in the Junction. DO NOT GO HERE. I REPEAT, DO NOT GO HERE for the sake of your YOUR MONEY AND RESPECT. The RACIST small of a man server/owner ( I honestly do not know because he refused to provide his name and position) told me and my partner to f*Ck off because he "didn't have time to wait" to take our order. There was not a soul in the restaurant, the cooks were sitting in the back and not a single order came through. All in 5 minutes the server/owner flipped out. Last time I checked, if a patron is indecisive about a item on your menu, is it not your opportunity to suggest an option? He is a poor reflection of the establishment and I will be contacting management and media outlets about this horrendous experience. If there was an option to not include a star I would! Unacceptable, do better North of Bombay.

I got the chana aloo, chicken biryani, garlic naan, shirley temple, and mango lassi. They had a nice selection on drinks although a bit small compared to the price. The food, setting, and service are very good and this place deserves more customers.

My go-to Indian restaurant. They have a great selection of dishes on their menu, and it's always delicious. The staff are friendly and quick.

I ordered Baingan Bhartha, Paneer Makhani, Roti and Veg Biryani. Curries were delicious and Roti was good as well. However, I didn't like Biryani. It was having a strong smell of spices.

Great atmosphere and amazing food. Some of the best Chana masala I have ever had. The appetizers are also very good. Service was 10/10.

Have come here several times over the last few years, be it for takeout during the peak of COVID, dinners with friends and family, or even to throw parties using their restaurant as the venue, and their food/staff for in-restaurant catering. There's good reason for this of course; the food is always flavorful and consistent, and the service is friendly through and through. The owner of the restaurant is extremely accommodating so if you're looking for a place to throw a holiday party, consider local staples like this place for food/location! The chain restaurants will always be around and will always have business but staple restaurants of the junction like North of Bombay have literally been in The Junction since 1989, and we need to ensure they can continue for as long of a time as possible.I planned a surprise party with the help of the owner so that the guests in attendance got to eat from a set menu (served family style) for a set price per person. The food was served seamlessly, and the portions were extremely generous! We all left feeling like we needed a nap due to eating ourselves into food comas hahaThe owner was also kind enough to take care of chargjng each attendee individually which removed that responsibility for me, and I genuinely appreciated it. If you're curious, the following is what we created as the set menu for this party in question (and yes, everything was delicious):•vegetable samosas•onion bhajias•spring rolls (that were delicious and thrown in for free)•cucuber raita (best out there)•saffron/plain rice•garlic (my personal favorite)/plain naan•butter chicken•paneer makhani (aka butter paneer//another personal favorite)•chana masala•aloo gobi masala?Give this place a try with a group so that you can order a few dishes and split the cost! You'll likely leave with a full stomach and possibly even leftovers due to the portions sizesVegetarian options: There are many sections of the menu including appetizers, curries, naan, and extras that are vegetarian! Some of my favorites include: spring rolls, onion bhajia, garlic naan, raita, paneer makhani, chana masala, and aloo gobi masalaDietary restrictions: If you are gluten-free, their menu items are clearly marked with the GF symbol to let you know which items you can safely order and eat! Same for dairy-free (DF), and vegan (VG)

Food wasn't bad in terms of taste & quality. But I would like to warn everyone about the rice pudding (kheer). At $6.95 a portion, the quantity they serve is an absolute rip-off. And the quality does not justify the price either. You would think $6.95 would buy you a shareable portion by two. But it is barely enough for even one person. Should be no more than $2.95. Beware!!!
