We are as an extended family heartbroken that Nove Trattoria has closed. It was always a delight for all our birthdays. GREAT staff.
They raised their prices - All items are at least $2 more compared to what is listed on their website but the higher price doesn't match the quality. I ordered the calamari & the smoked salmon pizza. Both items had Kalamata olives which I love but the taste was too overpowering in both dishes and left a bitter aftertaste. The smoked salmon pizza was very similar to cheap and lazy version I make at home with naan bread. Also short staffed during the dinner rush - the server was clearly overworked, but that's unfortunately par for the course these days.
Cozy , delicious, and affordable Italian. The customer service, food , and ambiance was perfect . Definitely will be back here . Such a great dinner spot .
Kid-friendliness: Waiters have a great sense of humor and are very nice and accommodating
Great food (got a couple of pizzas and desserts) and nice service. One of the best Creme Brûlée’s I’ve had! Thank you Nove :)
I didn't enter this place because I was walking around earlier this month (Aug/2022) and I saw this place, as I get to the door, the place is completely empty, no customers at all, there was only one staff member inside (maybe the owner/manager) siting in a chair with his feet on a dinning table. I wish I had taken a picture.Staff with feet on a table is a big red flag. I will not eat there.
Good ambiance and a nice quiet side for outdoor seating. The service was good and attentive. The meal came with bread to start. I got the special for the day. The carbonara pasta was delicious and the serving size was just right. Spent roughly $20, not including tip.
This was our first Nove experience. In from Ottawa for a few days, I had heard it recommended. It did not disappoint. Wonderful customer service from Ricardo. The food was delicious but yet so simple. I will return.
My boyfriend and I had takeout from here. We ordered the vodka sauce and Bolognese. I'm generally a Bolognese girl, but the vodka sauce was unique and really tasty! The tiramisu was delicious as was the caprese salad. So many places skimp on the cheese in a caprese, but not this place. We ordered bruschetta as well (yes we were piggies this night!), which was just as good as everything else. Loved our midtown Italian feast!!
A wonderful family run spot that will make you feel like you are at home, or at someone's home in Italy. The food is always fresh and delicious!Great cozy spot with wonderful food, service, and ambience.
Lovely spot with great service and delicious food. The beef carpaccio was especially great.

Great food, and Lisa is amazing
I rarely leave a bad review but, unfortunately, both dishes that I ordered were terrible. I ordered two seafood risottos through SkipTheDishes. The rice is overcooked and the taste and smell were extremely unpleasant to say lightly. Even though we were quite hungry, we couldn't eat it after tasting it. I'm quite confused by all the wonderful reviews left here. I hope this place improves quality of this dish.
Authentic heartwarming and homely Italian cusine! We tried the Teresa ? which was finger licking good from toppings to the beautiful smoky crust! The pannacota was lite and rich in flavour! Amazing customer service! Will definitely visit again:)
Nove is in my neighborhood. I dropped by for the second time with a friend of mine who enjoys all things Italian... exclusively! I ordered the Caprese salad and penne with salmon. My friend had the Mediterranean sea bass. We each had a glass of Primitiva. Tax and tip: $125.00.I know it's tough for restaurants right now, but, jeez, I feel that that's a lot of money for a so so meal. I could easily prepare the same meal at home for a fraction of the cost, I think that's my problem... I expect a meal out to be quantitatively better than a meal at home. Was the service bad? No it was fine. Was the food appealing It was fine. Was the restaurant crowded? Yes, very. Did I have an enjoyable meal out? Well... It was fine.
This may be a little restaurant but they are the best Italian restaurant in Toronto. We chose them for our first post Covid indoor dining experience and it was fantastic. Amazing Branzino, brilliant Risotto Chiara, and penne pasta with mushrooms to die for! Finished off with tiramisu and crème brûlée all accompanied by a bottle of red wine chosen by the brothers. Simply delicious! And all for $160!!
