If I could give this place zero stars I would. I ordered the pizza and they brought out what’s essentially a raw piece of dough. I could not even hold up a piece without the toppings dripping down the entire limp slice

We waited a really long time to get our dishes.
The dishes were small, so we were still hungry.

Visited here at the beginning of TIFF and the atmosphere was buzzing. We had fantastic service and great food, both choosing the Canteen Breakfast, a massive portion. At the weekends they do a Mimosa Flight, it would have been rude not to try them. The Watermelon Mimosa was particularly delicious.

Had not been for awhile but wanted a light meal. The server was very nice but the service was slow. My sense is they are under staffed. Once my order was taken my Protein Green Bowl arrived very quickly followed by my wine. Loved the Protein Green Bowl. My server checked in after I was served but then disappeared when I was ready to pay. Realized she was tied up at the other end of the restaurant. I would like to go back as close to home, light menu with good food but wish they would staff better or seat customers together making easier when staff limited

Soup was probably the worst I've ever had! It tasted like some cheap sachet stuff to which they added hot water.

Best smash burgers in town! Both the regular one and the French Connection.

Play is minimal but very beautiful. The food was just mid. Had the OG Squid Taco, which I mistakenly thought was grilled Squid but it was just fried calamari in a soft taco shell. The flavor was on point but would have tasted better with grilled squid.
The Southwestern Chicken Salad was bland as per my wife.
Happy Hour Drinks were plentiful And very affordable.

A pleasure to have a restaurant like Canteen to eat at when visiting the Bell Lightbox for a film. Bright street level restaurant. Good food but the service, tho friendly enough, is a tad slow. I think if you let server know you’re off to a film they will give faster service though. Creative menu, good sharing options. Our table shared excellent poutine and guacamole with chips. Both dishes were a treat! Everyone had their own entree. Everyone enjoyed what they ordered: Burger, Eggs Benny, Halloumi Wrap, Shakshuka. Very reliable restaurant.

We went there for lunch before the theatre. We know this place is on slow side from previous experience so arrived particularly early. The drinks were slow to come and tbh, the pomegranate juice tastes more like cranberry juice.
Then 40 minutes in and no food came. We inquired the server and the manager. The response is that kitchen is busy. When we said the restaurant wasn’t busy at all when we arrived, the manger has the audacity to say “now it’s getting busy” (btw, we smelled pot on the manager - while smoking pot isn’t technically illegal, it’s not right to do so the job). Eventually the food came and food itself is decent - nothing blow you away but solid.
Then came the bill and of course they didn’t offer any discount for the delay.
Vegetarian options: They have a few VF dishes.

Great experience, attractive early evening happy hour formula. We were there quite early and the restaurant was deserted, the service was very fast!

This was absolutely dreadful. Firstly you pay for pop refills, fills the Caesar salads with Kale, could not eat the wrap, terriblr
Was here Aug 8 12-1pm.
Good atmosphere, good $5.5 beer on jays home game days.
Server didn't check if I wanted a second beer, maybe was almost done when food got to us.
Peameal Bacon on eggs Benny was too salty.

The location was good, service was as well. Buffalo chicken wrap (~$20) was 90 percent lettuce, felt like eating a forest. The fries were also drenched in salt. Gave us 15 percent off, which was nice.
