Big servings for good prices. I have noticed they have new hires, cheers to them on their training, you are all doing well!

they have halal, vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options, which I really appreciate

Love this place but trying to order for take out food is impossible. The cashier is usually very very slow and I’m waiting 20-30 mins in line before I even order. Not in love with it.

The dine-in experience is great, with affordable food and fast service. However, the take-out service is not as good. During breakfast time, it's important to be quick, as everyone has things to do and places to be. It would be really helpful if they could improve their take-out service.

I recently had a disappointing experience at Oakham Cafe. The server was quite rude and approached me to ask if I needed a takeout box for food I hadn’t even finished, rushing me despite others at nearby tables lingering for much longer. I couldn’t shake the feeling that her behavior was racially biased, which is unacceptable, especially in a university setting. This kind of treatment should not be tolerated. I couldn’t help but feel there was some bias involved, especially since I was only there for about 35 minutes. Despite this, I still left a tip, but I won’t be coming back.

Kicking people out before they even finish their food is crazy! They didn’t even warn us before we got our food that we have to wrap up within 30 minutes. Funny thing is they were about to earn a good google review!
Infuriating.

I’ve been coming here a few times a week but my experience with service recently has been horrible. The last time I went with a friend and we ordered $50+ worth of food and they had to leave early so we both paid at the same time. Half the food was still sitting there and I was finishing up but since I paid early , the server came over and said that once you pay there is a half hour seating limit. Meanwhile I look around the cafe is half empty and other customers who only ordered coffee + small bites have been sitting there on their devices longer than I have been there. If a customer pays early and still has most of the food on the table does not mean you kick them out earlier. I do feel as if I was racially targeted by the server, will not be returning! Disappointed, especially after all the money I spent on overpriced food.

For TMU students this little cafe is such a great spot!! Their student loan special $8 breakfast is super filling. All their side dishes are great portions too. I also love their breakfast sandwiche (minus the bacon), it comes with a fried egg, lettuce, tomato, and cheese. Their iced drinks are delicious as well!! The staff is really friendly and the restaurant is really cozy and cute.

Apparently they think “bagel with cream cheese” means “bagel with a side of cream cheese” as if it’s burger and fries or something. It wasn’t even enough cream cheese! I’d rather go to Tim Hortons at that point, which is saying something.

Very busy student run cafe. Prices are very reasonable. I had the breakfast sandwich with gluten free bread. The bun looked like it had gluten, but was a bit crumbly so I felt okay eating it. After eating though I did feel sick. Definitely not safe for gluten free. The staff were nice and my iced coffee was delicious. I would say the coffee was worth it, the sandwich would be better if you can eat gluten. The grill had a high chance of cross contamination so be careful.

Vegetarian options: Many vegetation/vegan options and substitutes.

Dietary restrictions: Not safe for allergies. Very high chance of cross contamination, especially grill and definitely the deep fryer.
