I always wanted to come here for brunch every time I passed by. Honestly I was so impressed by the flavor. I LOVE that they fully understand the taste of Japan.I started off with Japanese squash salad with sesame dressing. I was already satisfied with the first dish. All of the dishes seemed really good but I got seafood spaghetti (spicy pollack roe, shrimp ) and miso mushrooms spaghetti. The taste reminded me of the time when I was in Japan…. These two are very unique pastas you can try here. At the end, I got red beans french toasts. This was die for? I don’t know how they make this but it just had the best combination of everything.. I felt like I could eat this infinitely. I think they rotate the flavors depending on season. One thing to mention, you should make a reservation beforehand since it’s a tiny place and the fact that it was packed on typical Monday. You can also be on the wait list but need to wait at least 20-30mins if it’s busy. I even saw people who already had a reservation but were waiting for the seats. I don’t know how they ended up like that. Anyways, I recommend people to book it before going.

Nice simple Japanese brunch. The karage is large and not overly salted and fried. Their classic breakfast is served with amazing potato, scrambled eggs are rich and creamy and toast is chewy with small hints of sweetness. They also cook your eggs Benedict to exactly how you want it, there are very few brunches that know how to make a hard Benedict egg.The hojicha latte was a little too sweet for my preference which is the only thing I did not enjoy.

Worth a try! Japanese fusion brunch. Got the chicken katsu sando, salmon eggs benny and sesame latte. For the good part: the sesame latte, nori fries and house potatoes were delicious. The bread used for the sandwich was as fluffy as it gets. Very well done for a reasonable priced. For the ok part: the main food was bland. Would have wanted the chicken to have more seasoning to enhance the flavours.Overall, worth a try or two given the unique menu and taste.

Wow! Ohiru was amazing! The food was absolutely delicious. I got the Chicken Katsu sando, which came with a salad and nori fries, and i got the ichigo smoothie. My friend got the karaage chicken and waffles. The chicken was tender and there was a good balance of meat and batter/coating for both dishes. For the katsu sando: The bread was, oh my gosh, perfect. I like my sando bread to be crispy on the outside while being perfectly soft and chewy on the inside. As for portions, you are definitely getting your money's worth; the portions are huge. The ichigo smoothie was the right amount of sweet and tart too! You will leave Ohiru feeling full, satisfied and happy. The staff were also very lovely and you can feel their passion for Ohiru. Truly a gem in Toronto. My only advice to big groups of walk- ins is that it's a tight space that easily gets very busy, so it would be better to make reservations if you can ahead of time. Other than that, the atmosphere was totally cute cafe vibes. Definitely visiting again. ?

Stopped in for a late brunch and thankfully didn't have to wait for a table. The chicken katsu sando was great. I'd go back again in a heartbeat to try other menu items.

Probably one of the best low key brunch places in Toronto, both the Tonkatsu Sando and the Classic breakfast were very tasty, Highly recommend the Hojicha tea latte as well.

Been meaning to try this Japanese brunch spot for a long time! My friends and I finally made it out on a Friday morning and it was already very busy with most tables filled!Service was a bit slow as there were only two servers, but they were polite and friendly in taking our drink orders. The smoothies were delish, and next I would prob stick to their specialty coffees instead of my basic latte. On to the food, kaarage and waffles were amazing! The side mayo and syrup complemented the thick hot and crispy fried chicken and generous portion of waffles, along a side salad with sesame dressing. Another dish I’d highly recommend is the char siu eggs Benny, which was quite a big portion with crispy potatoes. We were very impressed and the quality of food overall! We were lucky to also get a free dessert by posting to social media, and it was a choice between black sesame or yuzu cheesecake.I’ll def come back here to try their other dishes again next time! Keep in mind they are walk-in only on weekends.

Another good spot for breakfast and brunch! The best and cheap hot chocolate that i've ever had so far. The smoke salmon was so good and not fishy at all! Smashed potatoes on the side were perfect. Potato ?My friends got karage chicken with waffles and the seasonal dish.I love maple syrup that comes with karage chicken and the sauce..!! Perfect combination ?Recommend to book a reservation on weekdays and they don't do that on weekends.

A little bit of a small place, but otherwise, a great brunch spot. No reservations on the weekend. There’s no space to wait inside so be prepared if it’s cold out or raining! For us, the wait was about 30 mins.I’d recommend the karaage and waffles and the chashu eggs benny! The eggs Benny had a yuzu hollandaise sauce that I really enjoyed, I thought it was really unique. We also tried a couple lattes and though the matcha latte was good, it wasn’t anything special. Try the kinako sesame latte if you’re looking for something different!
