I had a Diet Coke, pork okonomiyaki, and yakisoba for about $37. Both the okonomiyaki and yakisoba were delicious. The okonomiyaki was perfectly cooked, not too sweet, and had a good amount of meat. The yakisoba was also well cooked, had lots of protein (shrimp, beef, etc.), and tasted great.
The portion sizes were good—not small, but not excessively large either. The restaurant itself is quite small but has a good atmosphere. The servers were quick and helpful!

It was a weekend. We arrived 12:30pm. One of the servers was rude to my family. My toddler put stickers onto windows. For sure we should remove them before we leave. We just didn’t notice my kid kept putting stickers again and again. While we are about to leave the server rudely said “it’s not my job to remove the stickers”. It’s first time i heard something like this in an Ontario restaurant. It’s a disrespect to customers. I am happy to remove anything done by my kid. But please be nice. We were a group of 6 (2 families two kids) We understand your restaurant is in a prime location and that server were under pressure to turn around table. We were pressured to leave the restaurant while it was raining and cold outside. We sat close to the entrance . Given it is already a very compact environment and another group of customers were already squeezing in (it was freezing outside squeezing in was okay) to take over our spot before all of us go away. To move out asap, i carried my toddler kid in my arms but sorry his shoe touched that server’s shirt. That server immediately made a noise to express her anger. I would say go forward please encourage your staff to act friendly to family with kids. We were really not so sure what’s wrong with her. Other than that server, the rest servers were polite. Food was average. Okonomi cakes were okay but slightly overcooked.

After an event near the ROM we walked over to Okonomi House and had the Curry Beef and Shrimp Okonomi yaki with Miso Soup and Green Tea. It is sooooo good, and reminded me of being in Japan. The Okonomi yaki (Kansai-style) is so close to ones we had in Osaka.
A must try if you have not been to Okonomi House.
(Apologies on the colour of the pics as the lighting is red Lanterns.)

I had a great experience during my first visit to Okonomi House! I went on a Saturday night without a reservation and only had to wait about 10 minutes for a table for two. It was our first time trying Okonomiyaki, and it was incredibly delicious—full of flavor and perfectly cooked. We ordered extra dried seaweed and bonito flakes, which added a special touch to the dish. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere cozy. I’ll definitely come back to try the other Okonomiyaki flavors and explore more of their menu!

One of my all time favourites! I’ve been here since the 90s! Family run and the quality has always been top notch. I always get the chicken teriyaki and their okonomiyaki. The teriyaki sauce is amazing and that’s an understatement! Just thinking about the okonomiyaki makes my mouth water. I wish I lived closer, so I could go so much more often!
It’s a bit small inside so the wait can be a while. And expect your clothes to smell like food given the proximity to the kitchen. But the food is so worth it. All time classic for me. And of course I 1000% recommend.

Many moons since my last visit to Okonomi House on College, and stepping back in felt like time hadn’t moved. Waxing nostalgic, I was delighted to see the menu unchanged, comfortingly familiar and reliably delicious. You can count on a packed house at any hour and a flavourful okonomiyaki, with that signature smear of sauce and mayo that never misses. Always worth a visit, no matter what decade you’re in.
Be prepared to wait in the evening as it could get very busy. Food tasted great at very reasonable prices! They have okonomi yaki which is a staple from Japan. Portions are also larger than what I had expected.

Service and atmosphere were good but damn the food is just not good. We ordered the chicken Okonomiyaki and Yakiniku and both were so bland, no amount of sauce can fix it. They also charge extra for bonito flakes?? How can it be a complete Okonomiyaki if you don't get bonito flakes by default...
Save your money and make it yourself at home.

Okonomiyaki and yakisoba were SO good and authentic! Very reasonable price for the portion and will definitely fill you up! I loved how they give you a scoop of rice with the yakisoba. Expect to wait in line if you are going during peak lunch/dinner time, but the food comes out pretty fast!

Great option if you want Japanese and you're sick of sushi. Classic diner atmosphere, and good value for money on the menu, plus the best okonomiyaki I've had in Toronto.

I’ve been coming here for 10 years. Quality has remained consistent and the seafood in the okonomiyaki is very generous.

The servers are really unwelcoming and disrespectful. I liked the food before but won’t come here again. Really disappointed. Maybe they think they have too many customers and can’t wait getting rid of some customers. Very disappointed. Won’t recommend it.

Been coming here since the early 2000s and it's still JUST as good. Every item on the menu is top tier, service is incredible, and just generally love the vibe of the restaurant. Wish it was bigger only because the line gets very long but worth the wait. Wish I could buy their terriyaki sauce by the gallon...
