The staff is extremely sweet, We had the chance to try the Blueberry Pancakes and they were absolutely delicious
We had a lovey evening at Old School, Saturday night. It started with a warm welcome and a great smile. Our servers were awesome. John made sure everyone was well taken care of and was extremely helpful with menu related questions. The food was delicious and the drinks were excellent. Definitely worth the shlep from suburbia. Loved Old School and will definitely return.
My visit to Old School this time around was... different. I found the server to be a little distant. I can't quite put my finger on it but it would have been nice to have felt more welcome. The server would walk off in mid sentence and barely acknowledge anything I said. Mind you it was a little hard to hear with multiple conversations going on but it would have been nice to have felt acknowledged before he left the table. When I asked for the Hazelnut tea, I was told it was a typo. I came for the strawberry waffle special. When it came, it did not look as advertised. It was rather sparse with the cream and the strawberries. Nonetheless it tasted good. My previous visit was a whole different experience. It was very positive and that's why I returned. I hope this recent experience isn't the norm.
Delicious brunch as always at Old School, I highly recommend it! The pancakes are amazing, the pulled pork Benny is a must-try, and the Breakfast Club is hands down my favourite. And don't even get me started on the French fries... absolutely insane. Thanks for the great service as usual, even if it can get a little busy on Sundays!
We had let the restaurant know we were there celebrating our anniversary and they stuck us near the bussing station. It was very uncomfortable with people constantly walking past us and almost bumping into my partner.
The staff are so nice and really accommodating, and the food and drinks are amazing! Love going back every time.
Not every space requires a table. We were seated in a place where the servers had to squeeze behind my daughter at least 5-7 times during our brunch. We finally got so overstimulated that we hurried our brunch to leave, once we found our server and asked her for the bill.
Old School never disappoints! Each time I am in Toronto a visit to Old School is a must! The food is fun and delicious! I love their Bennys and this time I tried their smoked beef which was tender and delicious. And despite the snow outside I finished my meal with a blueberry cheesecake milkshake which was just perfect! My server was great and the atmosphere was fun and festive! I thoroughly enjoyed my Old School brunch! Thanks!

loved the food pun names, the food itself was pretty decent. service could be a bit more attentive. for example, it was difficult to get water refills. but the food came put together and we were a large group. there were a few flies disrupting the atmosphere and the tables are super close together which made it a bit less comfortable.

I’m not usually one to write a negative review, but I recently had brunch at Old School. The service was not great- it took the server forever to serve our table of 4, and then it also took forever to ask for the bill. The server then asked each of us to recite everything we each ordered, which I found odd and never have done before. The server also barely came by during our whole time there. My napkin that was wrapped in utensils had a brown stain on it when I got to the table, and table was wet and hadnt been wiped down and didnt get wiped down. I tipped 15% which I thought was way too generous for what we got. Sad because I went there 7 years ago and it was ok.

This place is very cool, in a neighborhood type of area of town, just east of Downtown Toronto. Great pancake dish topped with blueberries and homemade butter!

The food was really really good but the wait was really long. Took about an hour to get our food after being seated. Atmosphere was though. Would recommend trying the raspberry hibiscus mimosa
