I brought my girlfriend here after telling her how much I liked it last time, but this visit was really disappointing. Her mango drink came in a dirty glass, the food had a hair in it, and even the utensils weren’t clean. We ended up just paying for our beers and leaving.
The only good part was our server (tall blonde guy) who was super kind and handled it well, but the lack of basic cleanliness was enough to ruin the experience. Won’t be rushing back anytime soon.

I came here with my boyfriend after he told me how much he and his friends enjoyed it last time. The place itself is really cute and definitely has that old-school charm, but unfortunately that’s where the positives ended for us.
I ordered a mango drink, and the cup it came in was dirty — it seemed like it had been used for a Caesar and wasn’t cleaned properly. When our food arrived, there was a hair in it, and even the utensils weren’t clean. At that point it was too disappointing to continue, so we just paid for our beers and left.
The one bright spot was our server (a tall white guy with blonde hair). He was super sweet and handled our complaints with kindness, and we honestly felt bad for having to bring things up. But at the end of the day, we’re spending money and expect a basic level of cleanliness.
Sadly, we probably wouldn’t come back — unless they really step up the cleaning.

Had brunch here and the food was subpar. Benny and the Jets with Smoke Salmon (aka Eggs Benedict) featured lousy salmon. Chicken and Waffles also subpar, with low-grade chicken that tasted awful. At least the waffle was good. Service was pretty much nonexistent.

4 stars for a good brunch at old school!
It was good but not exceptional, hence a solid 4 stars overall.
The service was a touch slow at the beginning but otherwise very attentive. We did have a reservation for their patio which they seemed to be scrambling to accommodate. They ended up seating us on the back patio associated with the old school cafe, which was ok but not quite the same vibe as being on the main patio where we had reserved.
Food was good and tasty, but again nothing overly exceptional. Portion sizes were good and everyone enjoyed what they ordered.
It wouldn’t be at the top of my list for places to go back to, but I did enjoy the meal.

Nice spot, very cool interior!
Got the blueberry compote pancakes and the egg avocado croissant sandwich which were both really good! The blueberry compote was delicious, sweet and tart balanced really well. The compound butter on top is a great touch too. The sandwich was flavourful and with the avocado and eggs had a nice texture, like a little creamy.
They also had this blueberry hot sauce which sounds weird but I’m obsessed with it. Just enough heat, not overly hot but a little sweetness to it. The biscoff lattes tasted good too, though I think I like a little stronger flavours for coffee.
We were seated on the inside which I think was a little louder but nothing crazy. Service was also friendly and attentive!
The staff is very nice and attentive, the interior is cute inside and outdoor. The food was spectacular (got the blueberry pancakes and smokey sandwich).

Little bit crowded on Sunday brunch time, but the waiting time wasn’t that long. Food and service were nice as well!

This place is good but was very busy when I went (weekend) and seemed to be understaffed. It was a challenge to flag a waiter down and place our order. Peameal Benedict was good but I’ve had plenty better. I’m sure the restaurant is more enjoyable during a weekday.

Very very tasty breakfast food. Had the Hallumi Tunes...yum!
Out on the patio for late breakfast. Good people watching with the normal sounds of a busy city

The service was awful. The waiter/hostess treated us badly. Unfortunately, we can’t rate the food (I’m sure it is great), because we left before even ordering. Also, the glassware was dirty. Do not recommend. They should reconsider their choice of employees.
