Very disappointed with On the Rocks Restaurant Karaoke. My 15-year-old son and his friends were able to get alcohol here — completely unacceptable. The staff and management clearly aren’t enforcing proper ID checks, and the place feels unsafe for minors. Parents should be cautious, and the restaurant needs to take responsibility and tighten their policies immediately.

I used to come here with my boyfriend all the time, but after what happened, I’m done. I found what looked like a hidden camera in the bathroom, which is terrifying. When I confronted the worker, Jay, he didn’t take it seriously at all. He kept making excuses and even said the chefs aren’t authentic and he doesn’t care as long as he gets his money. He also said the owner is Sri Lankan and the place is only “Chinese” by name. The whole thing felt shady and unsafe, especially for women. I’m never going back.

From my experience, The Rocks is filthy inside, the sauces are handled unhygienically — I even saw the owner taste the sauce with the spoon and put it back — and it seemed like some workers were paid in cash. Completely unprofessional and not a place I’d ever return to.

Be careful when paying for your drinks here! The bartender was about to charge me $1.80 extra when I reordered the same drink (probably thought I was drunk and wouldn't notice). Good that I knew exactly how much I paid for my first drink and when I asked him why he charged me extra, he didnt say anything. He just proceeded to charge me the original price. Other than this, the vibes are good and food is ok. Just be careful before paying for your drink!

A very very outdated place. Food was flavorful but over priced. The staff was friendly but you have to order everything at the bar. It would be a one-time experience kinda thing.

I had entered On The Rocks at 8:00 p.m. and provided my credit card to the bar to start a tab for my duration at this bar. Over the course of two hours at this establishment i had two mixed drinks and then for the subsequent 2 hours i had six more mixed drinks (a total of 8 “alcoholic” beverages). At midnight, i was fed up and left for good reason.
Unfortunately, the owner intentionally decided to not provide any alcohol in my drinks
I generously paid all $64 for the coca-cola i had consumed and my absence of a tip reflected the poor service
The owner confronted me before i left so that he could inquire about my $0 tip…
Owner: “Hey, what’s the matter? Did you not like the service?”
Me: “I’m sober.”
Owner: “What do you mean?”
Me: “I didn’t get drunk”
Owner: “That’s because you didn’t tip”
At this point I became aware of his “difficulties” I politely informed him that he had my credit card the entire time and that the tip would have come after he returned my card to me, however it still very much reflected the quality of the service given that i was overcharged for my coca-cola.
Upon him realizing that it would have been easier to dupe me had i actually been drunk, he scurried away akin to how vermin would. It was an awful sight to behold.

I came in today for the first time. I got the opportunity to meet Jay and I couldn’t even begin to say what an amazing human he is. I would 100% recommend this place to anyone who would like a great meal or a genuine conversation with a great guy. I’ll be coming back very very soon!
