Went here for a birthday dinner. Being in a completely dark room can be quite intimidating but our waiter, Ali, was very friendly and helped us ease into the experience. The food was flavorful and it was a beautiful one of a kind experience. 10/10 recommend.

We had an unforgettable dinner last night at O.Noir, and a huge part of that experience was thanks to Ali. From the moment we arrived, he made us feel comfortable, welcomed, and genuinely cared for. Dining in the dark can be a unique and slightly intimidating experience, but Ali guided us with such patience, confidence, and kindness that we were able to relax and truly enjoy every moment.
His attentiveness, warm personality, and professionalism stood out all evening. You can tell he genuinely loves what he does and takes pride in giving guests an amazing experience. Thanks to his thoughtful assistance, our night felt smooth, fun, and memorable.
Thank you, Ali, for making our dinner so special. We left with full hearts (and full stomachs!) and would happily come back again. Highly recommend asking for Ali if you visit O.Noir!

My cousin took me to the Toronto location because he had a good experience with his friends. Food was good, nothing overly fancy but real tasty and the fact that you couldn’t see it really made you lock into the smell and taste. They pre-cut the steak so everything is easy to eat also food isn’t overly hot so no risk of burning yourself. The service was my fav part, Ali was absolutely amazing. Also our greeter was very kind as well. You’re not allowed your phone so you really are able to have a conversation. I really enjoyed this experience.

This is probably my favourite restaurant that I have ever been to. The food is great & the dessert is even better. The experience of eating in a pitch black room is super fun and makes for great dates. I love that the waiters and waitress have visual disabilities. It makes the experience even cooler knowing that you get to connect with them like they would with you. In order to eat here you have to be vulnerable which is great. I'd recommend this place to anyone. Especially the ones who think they'd hate it because they wont! :)

I had an amazing first experience at Onoir in Toronto! Dining completely in the dark was such a unique and eye‑opening experience. The food was delicious, and the prices were quite reasonable. Our server, Ali, was absolutely fantastic. Friendly, personable, and passionate about his work. He took the time to share his story and made our visit truly unforgettable. This review is not just for a restaurant, but for an experience. ONoir is by far the most unique dining I've ever done in my life. Even though I knew what we were doing, I still wasn't completely prepared to eat in total darkness. One of the missions of ONoir is to give guests a better understanding of what it is like to be blind. I truly felt humbled by this experience.
First going into the restaurant felt like a special speakeasy vibe. It is located on a corner with a cast iron gate that opens at a specific time. After going downstairs, you proceed into the restaurant. The dimly lit bar area helps ease your eyes and prepare them to be immersed in total darkness. You place your entire order in the bar area and get assigned to a table. Ali, our server, greeted us and led us to our seats. There is a double door so that no light from the bar area pollutes the completely dark dining area. Ali was fantastic - I felt totally comfortable and trusted him completely. He was patient and kind.
I ordered the shrimp risotto and my husband got the filet mignon. We both agreed that our sense of taste and smell were heightened with the absence of our sight. We paid more attention to texture and I noticed more spices in my food. It was funny to try to butter bread in the dark - I wasn't very good at spreading the butter! We both ordered a surprise dessert. It was exciting to not know what you eating until it was in your mouth. Having to rely on other senses to eat was both interesting and enlightening. It gave me a much better appreciation for my sense of sight.
I cannot say enough amazing things about ONoir - I've been raving about it to family and friends. I highly recommend this place to try and would definitely come back again!
