We had Mehtab as our server and he took amazing care of us - he went above and beyond to make sure we had what we needed, and had an extremely friendly and welcoming attitude.
Thanks Mehtab, looking forward to visiting again and hope to have you as our server again.
For very first time me n my gf came to try the famous Italien restuarent in Toronto. The food turned out to be soo soo good. We order a margerhita and piemonte pizza with two drinks in late sunday evening. Everything was on point. Then we asked for a ‘ Tiramisu Cake ‘ and I requested a special request that on Tuesday its my gf birthday so as we are spending good time in advance. It would be very genourous if you can write a small ´ Happy Birthday ´ on the plate just as to celebrate in advance as we will be working on the tuesday. He told me he will do something special but after waiting for almost 30 min for the dessert it came and it was just the cake. My gf was understandable but it was disappionting either YOU COULD HAVE DECLINE THE REQUEST it was very okay to us or just could have explained that its busy, had no time or forgot. Which turned off our mood and we didnot bother to ask anything further. Tho mix and match of GOOD FOOD LONG WAIT TIME IN LAST we still paid 18% tips for the service in the genoursity that a cook has nothing too do in it and he made good food so its for him. But whenevr we will think to come back there will always be double emotions about it. NO HARD FEELINGS just saying

We hosted an event at Oretta. From the initial contact thru to the end of the event the service provided was exceptional! Kimberly and Paige assisted in menu planning, on the day of the event Josh greeted us and assisted with set up. Daniel was our server, and he went above and beyond making sure every guest felt special! All courses well timed. The food was delicious... The zucchini grigliate was a favourite for many, BISTECCA DI MANZO and PASTA ALLA BOLOGNESE and TORTA CAPRESE all delicious and highly recommended. Thank you to Daniel and team for making our celebration so special. Look forward to our next visit !

Great place, great food. The only item that I personally believe they can't get right is their fried calamari. Terroni's take's the cake for that. I don't know why they can't get their calamari right here. It's just always soggy. not that light crispiness refinement.
I'm also not a big fan of their brunch menu (e.g. their eggs, or breakfeast-esque type foods). But that might be more a me thing, than a oretta thing.
That being said, everything else on the menu is sublime.
I visit here at least once a quarter and I've only ever had 1 bad experience with the servers; where they messed up the happy hour menu with the regular menu and brought the wrong size dish. Instead of the happy hour plates they brought full plates. When the bill came they said it was the full size plate (it was) but I had specifically ordered from the happy hour menu at that time. Yes I ate it, but at the time I didn't know... I'm just ordering from a menu what do i know what the portion size should look like.
With that said, mistake was fixed and everyone's happy and i keep going back cause it's just a great place, great food all around.

We came here as a back up when our original plan didn’t work out due to awful service (rose social). We enjoyed the food, the bottomless mimosas and the service was great! We will be back!

Oretta is one of my favorite brunch spots in Toronto. Their pancakes are hands down the best in the city — fluffy, delicious, and surprisingly underrated compared to the viral places on social media. The food overall is amazing, the service is consistently good, and the patio is beautiful without being overcrowded. I did have a slightly bitter experience with one server once, but it was minor compared to the many great visits I’ve had here. Highly recommend for brunch, special occasions, or a relaxed meal.
Special thanks to Daniel. His suggestions were on point and he made our visit truly memorable.

Such a beautiful restaurant but service and food could’ve been better. We decided to order some happy hour appetizers and got the calamari and burratta both were good but the portions were so small that it wasn’t a good deal at all. It was disappointing these happy hour portions were half the size as the regular so there was really no point in advertising the “low” priced when you’re just getting half as much. For our entree we got 2 pastas and the burrata pizza. There’s pasta noodles were undercooked and over all not very flavourful. The burrata pizza was delicious but a little bit salty but for me I like that. Our service was very slow, nothing against our server but they definitely seemed understaffed, took forever for drinks and the table beside us who had arrived after got there’s much before we did. If you plan on coming here I would skip the happy hour menu and just order the regular they seemed like better deal anyway and stay away from the pasta. overall the atmosphere is beautiful

Stylish space with a vibrant vibe. The pizza is thin, crisp, and authentically Italian, paired perfectly with a solid wine list. Great spot for a casual-chic night out.

Food was meh. Portions tiny and overpriced. 14$ for one tiny scoop of gelato. 45$ for like 6 slices of steak and one tiny vegetable. No one was full. Service was fine but they refused to split the bill for us.
Oretta on King West delivered on every level. We truly lucked out being in Naz’s (Nazareth — best name!) section — her attentive, genuine service, along with the energy from the entire team and the live DJ, set the tone for a fantastic girls’ night. The food was outstanding, and the Trapanese pizza was unforgettable. Already looking forward to my next visit!

We stopped by for drinks during their happy hour and were seated on their patio.
Drinks were fine. Service was not.
Our water was never replenished, and we waited over 30 minutes at the end for the server to come by so we could ask for the bill. We wound up just walking up to the host stand and paying for the bill there. The host was apologetic but nothing from our server.
The restaurant was not busy with 4 tables seated inside and 3 outside (including us), so I don’t believe this was a staffing level issue. Perhaps our bill just didn’t have an enticing return for tips, as other reviewers have suggested. Nonetheless, it was disappointing to feel forgotten.
Reading the low rated reviews after the fact, I can see that the poor service was a common theme - with many of them mentioning inattentive service/long delays.
Having said that, the decor and ambiance was very nice. I’d have considered bringing my parents here to come out to them but after this experience, I’ve decided I’ll just stay in the closet.*
*I’m just kidding about this part. I’m already out to my parents but I still wouldn’t bring them here.
