These guys are the best in the game. We did a private party with them to celebrate my birthday and they were better than imagined — so friendly, meticulous in prep / clean up, and the food was out of this world. SO grateful to make such unforgettable memories with you.

Incredible sushi, truly the closest in flavour to what I experienced in Japan.

Good but I’ve had better tbh. Something about the super fresh concept makes me think they want you to smell the fish but I’m just not into that scented sashimi. Expensive too

Favorite spot to order takeout sushi from! Always fresh and well priced for the quality of fish you get.

We have wondered about this place for a while as we pass it while walking our dog in the lane. Though pricey, it’s a chance to get experience a top quality omakase style selection for a much better price. Looks expensive for take out sushi, but pretty great if you put it on some nice plates and pop out a bottle of bubbly. Last time we did omakase it cost 4x the price. I would recommend the Negitoro Maki and other rolls along with your omakase. We had 3 rolls and one omakase and it was enough for two with a dish of edamame I made myself. Fatty tuna, shrimp and uni were real standouts. I’m normally a cheap date for sushi, preferring those spicy salmon and bastardized rolls with all sorts of crispy tempura bits and sauces, but my partner likes the simple sushi and sashimi and he liked it a lot!

The sushi at Oroshi was so fresh and delicious — truly a cut above the rest. Truly the best sushi I’ve ever tasted. If you’re wondering whether it’s worth the price tag — it absolutely is. The attention to detail and quality make it a standout experience. We brought it home and had an incredible date night in.

Tried today for the first time and hands down the best quality and tasting nigiri I've had in Toronto. I haven't been to a zillion places or anything, but I have eaten at some high end omakase and Japanese restaurants and have spent upwards of double and almost triple what I paid at Oroshi today, for way less in terms of both quantity and quality. I ordered 16 pieces of nigiri total. I asked if the wasabi came on it already and the gentleman at the counter said it's usually on the side but asked if I wanted it on the nigiri and I said that would be great, maybe they don't normally do that but I was super appreciative of it (because I was planning to eat it while walking home). I came around 5pm, not sure if it's 1 person making the nigiri or multiple, but whoever made my order was an absolute beast in the best way, normally wherever I get sushi I hardly taste the wasabi and I can only slightly make it out, but there was definitely a lot of wasabi on these and it was amazing, I love spicy, and instantly I felt the heat come up through my nose and it's hard to explain but it wasn't like a bad burning feeling, more like an energizing burn if that makes sense, it just comes over you in a quick wave and then leaves your nose feeling like how it feels to chew a piece of gum and chug an ice cold glass of water, only for a few seconds and then fades away, maybe not intended or that's not what should happen? I don't honestly know, but it blew me away and I loved it. I saw another review here that said Oroshi ruined sushi for them because they can't go anywhere else now, and I'll have to agree with that, I definitely won't be able to go anywhere else. I don't know the logistics behind doing something like this but I think it would be dope if they had some special fish or weekly fish or something that maybe they only carry once in a blue moon, since it is a fairly standard selection, but I totally understand that it might not be feasible or fiscally worth it for them, or maybe they do occasionally do that already and I just happened to come at a time that they weren't, regardless, if you like nigiri style sushi you absolutely should try them out. Sushi rice was also spot on, at least for me, just the right amount and great texture. The packaging was also so fancy and the food looked so good inside it that I almost didn't want to eat it. They are for sure taking a hit on the packaging which is all the more reason to try them out and support them, anyone who will go out of their way to package their food like that clearly cares about the overall quality of the product and that's just so rare to find these days in my opinion.

Ordered delivery for a party, quality and presentation were amazing. The miso soup with mushroom and fish was a beautiful surprise! They accommodated gluten free and no shellfish perfectly. High quality and delicious meal, thank you!

I was warned in advance that this restaurant would ruin every other sushi place for me, and it definitely did. The quality of the fish is beyond excellent, the rice is perfectly cooked and well seasoned, and you can tell that an immense amount of care is taken with each item. The price is well worth it!

We got the premium sushi set, toro sake don and 2pc tamago nigiri. Standout favourites were the salmon nigiri, scallop nigiri and tamago nigiri, but truly every bite was delicious.

Highly recommend placing your pickup order in advance on their website, I usually see a few folks waiting outside. If it's not immediately obvious, this restaurant is takeaway only.

Hands-down the best delivery sushi we've had in Toronto, and the next-best isn't even CLOSE! For starters, their fish is always of exceptional quality, especially the rich melt-in-your mouth tuna otoro and incredibly fresh-tasting scallops. Oroshi's platings are immaculate, and carefully and thoughtfully packaged every time; I have to admit I'm especially charmed by the tiny individual bottles of soy sauce.

They were also absolutely amazing about accommodating a visiting relative with a serious wheat intolerance. They even went as far as writing a thoughtful note that everything was wheat-free so she knew it would all be safe to eat (including supplying all wheat-free tamari to accompany the food!). I was afraid my family member might be hesitant to eat -- she has had bad experiences ordering gluten-free at other restaurants; however the way the staff handled things gave us absolute confidence in their ability to handle a food intolerance. My family member ate a bit of everything and delighted in every bite! :-)

Oroshi's focus on excellence and thoughtfulness extends to even the small details. For example, their seaweed salad is also the best incarnation of that dish which I've eaten. This is a dish that is often kind of an afterthought for restaurants, but they take the time and effort to perfect it.

Oroshi has become a firm favorite in our household, and our go-to for top-notch sushi!

I always come to this place but have noticed that their fish and rice quality has declined over the years. They also got my most recent order wrong
