Been going here for years and really appreciate the great service and the roasts are top notch. My favourite coffee shop in the city!

Lovely all over … coffee, owner / staff and super chill vibes

I think it is vitally important to try to support local coffee Enterprises who are sourcing and roasting their own beans in house. Therefore, I have tried Outpost Coffee several times over the last few years and have really wanted to love it and give it a solid five star rating.

The problem is, I have found the service here quite indifferent, whether it is because of the busyness of the café or the personality of the baristas. . On the last occasion I visited I attempted to ask the barista a few questions about the beans they were using for their espresso base drinks and was told that in order to get that information I should simply visit their website. I did visit their website, but the information on the website, unless I was looking in the wrong place, only spoke about the products they had for sale and did not provide the kind of testing notes and bean sourcing information I would've expected from a local café that is roasting its own beans.

in addition, the roast here is a bit on the light side for my taste, but the Cortodo I had was flavourful and hot and well proportioned. There were a variety of items on sale in the store, which seemed to cater to a lot of different dietary needs and tastes and that is always a good thing.

Due to the location, there are certainly limits on how much can be done with the back patio however, very little has been done to try to soften the very alleyway feel of the space.

As I said, I would love to be able to highly recommend this local coffee endeavor, and, by the busyness of the space and the number of returning customers it would appear many people love it.

I will keep trying, and hopefully on a next visit this will be a five star local coffee experience

I tried the strawberry matcha at this cute this coffee shop. The service was great! The matcha was made with their strawberry milk which was a bit too sweet for my liking which made the drink quite sweet.

Awesome coffees and a nice selection of vegan treats. The muffin we had was fresh and flavourful. Nice little spot and a better place to spend your money than other massive coffee corporations who shall remain nameless...

This coffee has blown my mind. I had never been to outpost, but it was convenient for today. I had a flat white to try the hot version with an incredible roast. And because it's so hot in the summer here, I had an iced latte with their July – only banana milk! It is like heaven in a cup. Apparently, the banana milk only gets made twice a year, which is a shame because I would live on it. It is so delicious in combo with the incredible roast of their coffee.

I heard Outpost were starting to bake their own stuff so I had to go in and try some baked goods! The brown butter chocolate chip cookie CHANGED MY LIFE 🍪 Best cookie I've ever had

Worst iced latte that I’ve ever tried in my life. I literally threw the coffee out because it was just so bad. Never coming again I don’t know how it has so many good reviews.

I didn’t also like the service I was with my little dog carrying it and after I order, the guy told me that if I could leave the store, he’ll bring my my coffee to me because they couldn’t have dogs inside.

Purchased different espresso beans and brewed delicious and aromatic coffee at home👌. I wish 1 or 2 lb bags were available as 12 oz is too little but 5 lb is too much for me.

the barista was running things solo when I went in early this morning, he was super friendly and quick, even with a huge rush. drinks were still lovely too.

Outpost Coffee Roasters is hands-down one of my favourite spots for a proper cup of coffee. Whether you’re into pour-overs, espresso, or just a perfectly made flat white — they consistently get it right. You can tell they take their roasting seriously, and the quality really shows in every cup.

The space is warm and relaxed, with that ideal mix of minimalist and cozy. It’s great for catching up with a friend or getting a bit of work done (Wi-Fi’s solid too). The staff are always friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly love what they do.

If you’re into specialty coffee and supporting local roasters, this place is a gem. Definitely worth the detour if you’re in the area.

Walk out of the bustle of the city into a true gem of a cafe. Close to the connection to the UP express, Outpost is a true cafe. My new secret escape in the west end!
