This is my favourite sushi spot on Queen East. While a smaller and more intimate restaurant it gas sufficient seating and a cozy atmosphere. It is a bit on the pricer side for what sushi can be but the good thing is the quality definitely matches the price point. All of the items and dishes we have gotten were fresh, well presented and tasty! Service is warm and quick which is not often a pairing you find in most restaurants but you will find it here.

I ordered a 20-piece sushi set, but they only gave us one chopstick, so we had to share. Also, the California roll was really bad—I’ve never seen one like that before. It was low quality and lacked ingredients.

Tried Oyabong Sushi after the music festival around the Beaches area. We ordered a sashimi dinner set and soft shell crab — both were fresh, delicious, and came in generous portions. Oyabong might not be the top-tier sushi spot in town in terms of taste complexity, but it definitely stands out for value. A solid, no-frills Japanese restaurant that earns a spot in my bookmarks!
