Really good caesar’s , they put fresh horseradish and the flavour was great. Oysters were phenomenal and the cocktail sauce as well. I love the St Simon’s oysters so I definitely would recommend that, if you go during happy hour it’s very worth the visit. The Kale caesar was great too with the crispy chickpeas, tuna tartare was okay but good presentation, though the fries were really good with the garlic sauce. Small restaurant but the decor gives it lots of character, been twice already and will definitely be visiting again :)

Great restaurant, shout out to Damien and the rest of the staff working yesterday who went above and beyond for us.

The food was also excellent, will definitely be back during happy hour to do some real damage on the oysters.

Went with few dishes. Sun seekers for us while our friends went with east coast oysters. Great selection. Lobster bisque was a complete miss it it was subpar and salty. The other dishes were all over salty. I thought maybe it was my tastebuds but later and next day morning never stopped drinking water. We had great time but food was not as we hoped service was great. Double tip for the server as it wasn’t his fault for the kitchen double shalt evening

Went here for an evening birthday and had several plates of oysters as well as some sides. All the food was very fresh, though the ceviche was meager. Cheap beer was a plus, just know that the staff are somewhat hands off. Would certainly go again - best for a small group of four or less.

The employees are not helpful at all, especially the Asian woman who brings the menu and the blond man. They are very rude, don't answer your questions properly, and take a long time to do what you ask them to do. These two employees are very rude...

It was our second time celebrating a birthday at Oyster Boy and we enjoyed ourselves as much as the first time. We shared a mixed platter of 24 oysters and a salad. The oysters were so fresh and tasty I didn’t want to follow up with anything else. The staff all seemed genuinely happy to be there. They were busy but were chill while answering any questions. I was surprised by how good the salad was while being so impressed by the oysters. “Ice Cold Beer” at $4 a can was another pleasant surprise. The atmosphere was busy while relaxed. One of the owners was working hard along with her employees and I really enjoyed having a brief chat.

If you’re an oyster lover—or even just oyster-curious—Oyster Boy is a must-visit spot in Toronto. I’ve been a few times now and each experience has been consistently excellent. The quality of the oysters here is top-notch. You can tell they take great care in sourcing fresh, flavourful selections, and the staff really knows their stuff. They’ll walk you through the different types and recommend options depending on your taste—whether you prefer something briny, buttery, or sweet.

Beyond oysters, the rest of the menu holds its own. The clam chowder is rich and comforting, and their small plates (like the scallop ceviche and crab cakes) are crafted with great attention to detail. Everything tastes like it came straight from the ocean to your plate—fresh, clean, and well-seasoned.

The vibe inside is casual but cozy. It’s not a flashy place, which I actually love. It has that “hidden gem” energy—intimate and unpretentious, with an old-school seafood bar charm. Perfect for a low-key date night, catching up with friends, or just sitting solo at the bar with a cold drink and a dozen oysters.

And here’s the kicker—they have a happy hour! This makes the experience even more enjoyable. Great oysters at a great price in a relaxed setting? Yes, please. It’s the kind of place you want to return to over and over again.

Service is also consistently friendly and knowledgeable. They’re welcoming without being pushy, and they give you space to enjoy your food and company.

Highly recommend for anyone who appreciates high-quality seafood, a chill atmosphere, and great value—especially during happy hour. Oyster Boy is one of those places that lives up to the hype.

A Toronto staple for fresh oysters and great seafood, Oyster Boy has been a long-time favorite of mine in the Queen West area.
Knowing and helpful staff can answer all shellfish questions with ease.
Daily selections of shell fish are beautifully prepared, either raw or cooked.
Half price Oysters from 5:00 to 6:00 and other Happy Hour specials are great value.

Great service, tasty seafood, and a nice place to hang out with friends in a booth or at the bar. Nice to see the shuckers doing their job right at the bar!

Best place for shucked oysters in TO as they curated a great selection of West and East Coast Oysters. Quality is exceptional, fresh, plump, and juicy. Clean with no grit. More importantly, Oyster Boy has been very consistent in the last 2 decades. Unlike Diana's Seafood, where it can be hit and miss. It is located by Trinity Park and in Queen West, where you can get in some great shopping while walking off dinner.
