Peameal Bacon Sandwich was WOW! We initially planned to go to carousel bakery but they only accept cash. Kind of gave up and then realized that Paddington had one as well.
We ordered the sandwich to go and had it the next afternoon but it was still fresh as ever. Got the peameal bacon sandwich with marmalade, hot peppers and a little bit of onions.
That sweet spicy vibe was unbelievably good. Totally recommend.

The wait was long (on a Sunday) but so worth it! Love the family atmosphere, everyone is so friendly!

This place is everything you want from a diner and then some.
The famous peameal bacon sandwich lives up to the hype — thick, juicy, salty perfection on fresh bread. Honestly, it feels illegal for a sandwich this simple to taste this good. Their all-day breakfast also hits the spot every single time. Whether it’s pancakes, omelettes, or a classic eggs + bacon plate, you’re leaving full and happy.
The vibe is pure St. Lawrence Market energy: busy, casual, and full of regulars who clearly know what’s up. Service is fast, staff are friendly, and prices are fair considering the portions (you won’t leave hungry).
If you’re a tourist in Toronto, this is a must-stop. If you’re a local, you already know.
Pro tip: grab the peameal sandwich, then walk the market after — it’s basically the ultimate Toronto experience.

Absolutely delicious food options with large portions at a great price! A cozy space inside and outside within the crowds at the St. Lawrence Market. Fantastic staff and service for dine in or take out! Love the Famous Peameal Bacon Sandwich and a spicy Canadian Caesar. Definitely worth checking out!!!

The poutine wasn't great. It looked good but it wasn't the best.
Tasty Sandwiches with pork slices (peameal) - traditionally with tomato, onions and honey mustard. But you can add what you like. Try it!
And they also have a restaurant with different tasty meals.

A must experience for local cuisine.
Extremely understaffed and not organized. I am very torn writing this as the staff was very friendly. If it wasn't for the fact the food was very good I would have rated it lower. Ownership needs to figure something out to support their staff.
**Update**
Went back recently and the staff and team was lovely. Food is still very good.

Rude customer service . Miscommunication between servers but customers get the brunt of it . Very very unprofessional and the atmosphere they create makes you wanna leave and never come Back . Which is what I’ll be following - NEVER COMING BACK . They don’t understand we might come to celebrate something nice or gather to eat after something sad . You’ll never know what someone is going through when they come to have a Meal . Always be nice . We were a group of friends meeting after 10 yrs and our moods were spoilt thoroughly . Especially by the lady with the short hair .
This review comes many months late as I wanted to give time to settle the feeling and not feel bitter , but I just drive past this place now and it brought memories that made me angry . Hence this review comes now

Went there for breakfast with my family. Quickly seated and served. Good portions. Attentive staff. Feels like a step up from a diner. Bit of a quaint sport bar/themed bar/ diner. Good prices. Service was amazing. About 60 bucks for a family of four with tip.
Really good.

Please fire or instruct the early morning waitress to shower. Blondie has an attitude problem. Do you need more staff or something?!

Killer peameal sandwiches, the argument on who did it first or who was the original may rage on, but jus know you will not be disappointed if you choose Paddington’s.. and yes you should try it with marmalade
