**1 star – Avoid at all costs**

I am writing this review with the kind of weary fury that only comes after a night of violent illness has stripped away every last illusion of dignity. For the first time in over a decade—since the winter of 2015, to be precise—I found myself kneeling before porcelain at 3:17 a.m., retching until there was nothing left but bile and betrayal. The culprit: [Restaurant Name]’s “famous” chicken enchiladas verdes, consumed on [approximate date, e.g., Saturday evening].

What arrived at the table looked textbook: corn tortillas softly cradling shredded chicken, bathed in a tomatillo sauce of promising brightness, crowned with crema, queso fresco, and a modest scatter of cilantro. The presentation was confident; the server’s smile was warm. One might almost forgive the kitchen for what followed.

Within four hours the first wave arrived—nausea so sudden and absolute it felt like someone had yanked the emergency brake on my entire digestive system. What ensued was twelve hours of violent, convulsive vomiting, chills that rattled my teeth, and a fever that left me hallucinating the ceiling fan as a slow propeller of judgment. I have not been this sick since adolescence. Ten years of careful eating, travel to countries with questionable water, questionable street food, questionable life choices—and nothing, nothing felled me until your kitchen.

I am not a litigious person, nor do I relish leaving one-star reviews. As someone who has spent years parsing sentences for nuance and delight, I would much rather write four generous paragraphs about mole that sings or carnitas that collapse into surrender. But food poisoning is not nuance; it is violence visited upon the body by negligence. And negligence, I suspect, is what happened here. Whether cross-contamination, undercooked poultry, spoiled crema, or a simple failure to hold ingredients at safe temperatures, something in that dish was pathogen-positive and catastrophically so.

To the owners and management: I do not believe you set out to poison your customers. I do believe you have allowed standards to slip to the point that one preventable mistake became my personal medical emergency. The health department may or may not find what I found in my system, but I know what my body told me for fifteen hours straight: this food was not safe.

I will not be returning. I cannot in good conscience recommend this restaurant to anyone. And I would urge anyone reading this to consider whether a plate of enchiladas is worth twenty-four hours of wishing for oblivion.

With exhausted disgust,
Customer

They are popular for their Christmas themed bars. But, can be a nice place to hang out during the other months too. The food is decent, great selection of tequila.

The prices were very reasonable, and both the steak and birria tacos were delicious and full of flavor. The portions were just right—not too big and not too small. If you’re craving tacos, this is a great spot to visit. They also serve cocktails; I didn’t get to try them, but almost every table had drinks, which makes them seem popular.

Came for the Christmas vibes and stayed for the delicious spicy margaritas and fish tacos. Small intimate place with a fun festive aesthetic! My bestie and I came for some Christmas spirit and were not disappointed!
