Fish and chips - the fish was wet inside the batter coating Possibly understaffed as we sat with our half eaten meal plates in front of us for a good ten minutes before we flagged someone to clear them. The restaurant itself is fun and lively atmosphere. I write very few bad reviews. Food quality and lack of service - food dumped in front of us by another staff member. No one came by to check on us. Very disappointed.

Very close to Lee's Palace/The Dance Cave. There was ample Green P parking and side street parking off of Bloor St. W. Pints of Guinness and their fish and chips were excellent. Staff were friendly and service was prompt. The establishment did not appear to be wheelchair accessible though. I'd call ahead to see if they can accommodate person's in need.

We visited here 3 nights in a row as our AirB&B was located round the corner. Very quiet, hardly anyone in each time. Very slow service, we found the male member of staff, behind the bar, extremely miserable and unfriendly. It doesn't take much to smile

Pauper's Pub is a good as a simple destination after a movie at Hot Docs. They have a standard menu and a decent selection of beers. The noise level depends on the time of day - as with any pub.
