I struggle with this spot. I love what they stand for — providing a Queer-friendly spot to congregate and watch sport — and their food is above average for a pub/bar, however, there’s a lot that needs to be improved upon as regards to service and atmosphere.
In addition to regularly subpar service, which is somewhat to be expected for these neighbourhood haunt type places, I’ve had one experience in particular that left a really bad taste in my mouth.
Our party of two, who certainly are not new to the establishment, took a long time to be seated. The place was dead, however service was very infrequent. The owner had their dog who was very aggressive to another animal in the bar. I do wonder if that’s what contributed to their service being spotty, but after waiting patiently for the bill we requested, my partner decided to go up to the counter to pay while I headed outside to get some air.
Immediately after heading outside, I was chased down by them and told I needed to pay for my bill — as if I was dining and dashing. This came after many attempts at getting the bill, and my partner trying to get their attention & presently waiting at the bar to pay. They seemed really out of it, but regardless of what was up with them, I didn’t appreciate being treated like we were in the wrong when they had zero reason to believe we wouldn’t be paying our bill.
Since then, we’ve had more incidents of bad service, and the dog continues to roam free and be prioritized over the safety and comfort of guests.
I want to continue to support this place and truly believe they have a lot to offer the community, but I hope my review and others’ similar concerns are taken into account and improved upon.

Nice space and concept, but staff are quite rude and after repeated visits, never have any stock.

Very poor service and they are regularly out of beers and certain liquors. Unfortunately last weekend will be my last time there after waiting 15 minutes to be served when the place was almost empty. It was also so hot but we were told we couldn’t go on the patio because “the dog” was there?
I don’t even know where to start with this review. My friend and I took our three kids to peaches for a quick dinner and a few games Friday evening after school. We have been many times before and always leave by seven when things get busier and it becomes more of a bar. The employee glared at us from behind the door for a good 10 minutes opened the restaurant late, making us wait outside in the rain and very rudely told us that the establishment was 19+ and didn’t care if we’ve been there before with kids we were not welcome today. There was a group of gentlemen waiting outside as well who commented on how rude and abrupt she was. She continued to make them wait for an additional 30 minutes in the rain before sending another employee out to tell them they would not be opening due to an Internet issue, I was appalled at the way we were treated. The customer service was nonexistent and I cannot believe that this is how they treat their community. Shame on you peaches! We are neighbours and that was not very neighbourly at all !!!

I’ve never encountered such poor service before. My friends and I visited on a Saturday night while waiting for our table at a nearby restaurant. We each ordered a drink, and from the start, we noticed how rude the server was. She was extremely cold, barely spoke (which would normally be fine), but kept giving us strange looks. We thought we were being respectful and just minding our own business. Some of my friends were taking pictures in the empty bathroom, and one of the staff told them to take their photos elsewhere. While understandable, this could have been communicated in a much nicer tone.
When the server brought our drinks, she just stood there, glaring at the menu in front of my friend instead of simply asking her to move it. It would be helpful to use direct communication in situations like this. Lastly, when my friend politely asked for the bill and then inquired about splitting it, the server responded with, "You said bill, not bills..." It was also clear that the two staff members were talking about our group behind the bar.
Overall, the atmosphere felt uncomfortable and awkward, which was disappointing as we were under the impression this was meant to be a welcoming and inclusive environment.
food was mid, the place was absolutely sweltering hot, and I saw a huge bug crawl out from under the table as soon as I sat down. Also my chair was broken.
It felt kinda run down and the washrooms were gross with no toilet paper and paper towels. Only one stall to use that had a broken lock, and one sink was also broken.
The staff seemed a little clique-y but they were alright. Beer was good.
Perfect Parkdale hang. Good servers and service. Food is good and made well. Chill atmosphere. I don’t watch the sports, but they are known for that. And it’s still great to hang.

The best place in the West end, of not all of Toronto, to watch sports. Cocktails are great, and beer deals are affordable

I went for drinks with my girlfriend, her coworker, and her coworker's date. The food was mediocre at best, our waitresses were rude and inattentive (despite the restaurant being nearly empty), and they were seemingly out of half the things on their menu. The atmosphere wasn't anything special, but it was a Wednesday night with no major games so maybe that's not fair.
Vegetarian options: All hot dogs can be substituted for veggie dogs, and there is a vegan blt and chili

For you lord of the rings fans you’ll enjoy the Mount Doom heat simulator they have.
Realistically it was just too hot to enjoy the experience. If the AC gets fixed I’ll gladly give it another shot and edit my review.

My friends and I went here for a Simpsons trivia night, which sounded like so much fun, however when we got there, there was no air conditioning so the restaurant was close to 40 degrees. It was so hot I had to leave early with my partner because I was getting lightheaded and sick to my stomach. I felt bad for the staff working in those conditions. I really wanted to like the place but it was just too damn hot and our server forgot about us several times, which I can understand, there were so many patrons and the heat was overwhelming. They also ran out of a lot of what they offered on their menu as well, which was also a bummer. I’d like to give it a second chance but only if they help their staff better by providing a comfortable working environment and providing them with the essentials of their menu. Sorry to be that person folks.

the food is really good! service is friendly and the bartenders are cool.
Terrible service, our server (the girl with an undercut wearing glasses) had a terrible attitude. Kept making remarks of how far the kitchen was so she wanted to rush and get all of our orders at once. Complained when we asked for a box to go. Complained about us to her coworker and said it out loud so we could hear everything she said (she used swear words). We understand it is an overwhelming job and were nice the whole time, but this was incredibly unprofessional. Would not recommend.

Not for serious pool players. Walked in, waked out.
