I was at Pearl Diver today for my first time and my expectations were surpassed!!! Wow - all the food was a 5/5! And the food came fairly quickly.
I’m a local here in Toronto and usually go to Rodney’s Oyster House for oyster’s, but Pearl Diver now might be competition! Usually when people tell me “these oyster’s are creamy” I don’t taste it, but wow, one West coast variety really was creamy. And all three varieties (East) and (West) coast oysters had a different taste; in a delicious way. Sweet, creamy, and the other variety in-between.
Each meal was amazing. My main was fish and chips and the batter was so light and the fish tasted fresh - ironically better than the fish and chips I had in Iceland in the fjords!
The clam chowder was the best clam chowder I’ve ever had.
The drinks were excellent as well.
And the homemade dessert was the cherry on top; pumpkin cheesecake.
This place blew me away. I had to write a review!
I wanted to also mention the oysters were well-shucked as well; no shards at all.

A Gem for Seafood Lovers!
The atmosphere at Pearl Diver is full of character and charm. It’s lively but comfortable, with genuinely friendly staff who make you feel right at home. The menu is full of interesting, creative choices, but the real stars are the fresh oysters- beautifully presented, perfectly chilled, and absolutely delicious.
Two friends ordered the mussels, and days later, they’re still talking about how incredible they were! Everything here feels fresh and thoughtfully prepared. Whether you’re an oyster lover or just want a great night out with good vibes and quality food, Pearl Diver is definitely worth a visit.
We had a lovely early dinner at Pearl Diver. We were there on a Tuesday and they had a great seafood tower special, but we opted for the dozen oysters, lobster sliders, and grilled Korean mackerel. The oysters were on a happy hour special and were absolutely delicious. The highlight of the meal for us, though, was the mackerel. It was perfectly smoky and crispy, and the pickled veggies on the side were lovely. To finish the meal we had the bread pudding, and I debated getting a second portion. This was our first time back to Pearl Diver in a few years and we won’t let it be that long again. Thank you!

Had a birthda day dinner here with a few friends and the 2 dollars oyster and $8 happy hours drinks. These are good value. We also had a seafood tower, but I don't think that was worth it, as it looked anaemic to call it a tower.
Service was nice but they never come and pour more water especially we were there for three + hours and we always had to ask.
Regards, it had a nice atmosphere even it was a Tuesday. I would be back for the oysters.
Food was quite good, but the service left a lot to be desired. Server didn't write anything down and a couple of things were forgotten. Very rushed service as well.

Honestly, I felt a little off when they mentioned that the tip is included in the cheque and then handover the device to us to pay the included tip amount.
