The food was so tasty! The price decent, but I found a cockroach inside of a penne pasta! I don't know what to think....

Keep this place in business. Food is SO fresh. We were really pleasantly surprised and will do what we can to support during this tough time. Wings are epic.

Food is meh. Service is meh. Overall meh I gave it the benefit of the doubt and went a second time today. Won’t be going back again. Not mention when you head to the washrooms, the bar staff/staff avoids your gaze and looks away instead of a hello or simple acknowledgement.I just don’t like this place and feel your money and presence is better spent elsewhere

I called in ahead to make sure they had seating for five and they made up a table to seat our party of five. So why was there no cutlery on the table. COVID-19 precautions included spacing guests groups apart by every other table which is the new norm. But what is the point to having two groupings of tables by the window as unused seating and seat our party as the next row of tables over from the unused window seats???Appetizers were appalling. We're talking lumps of powdered starch floating on top of their butternut squash soup. It wasn't even a basic rue. It was literally undissolved corn starch clumps. French onion which looked more like canned beef consume and microwaved cheese delight. Waiters who didn't actually know what sides the kitchen had. ie: if you tell a customer you have Fragrant Basmati rice, don't serve them over boiled plain white long grain rice instead. Then to make matters worse, in the poor dim light I misread the bill and ended up giving the waiter a 50% tip when I only meant to give him 20%.p.s. two of us of the five are classically trained and registered chefs. Together we have more than 60 years experience combined. Yet our conclusion for this meal. All sauces and soups came out of a bottle or a can. Bottomline the overall experience was pretentious in both the food and the service.

The first time I had PearTree I ordered on skipthedishes. I was very happy with the food but then, a few hours later I got a phone call from the owner asking how I liked my meal and if it met my expectations! The food is exactly what I love. Good quality, healthy options, comes hot and delicious. The services is outstanding! The menu has so many options! I'm glad I have PearTree in my neighbourhood!

The sea food fettuccine was horrible. Aside from the few shrimp and mussels the squid and pasta sauce was too salty, watery and uneatable.

I am new to the area and I ordered a chicken quesadilla, coconut shrimp, and a chicken club sandwich yesterday and WOW it was so delicious. I have been a chef for 20 years and I was honestly impressed. So nice to have such amazing food in my new community. Keep up the great work! Ordering again tonight!

Walked up Parliament St. for a late supper with our son after condo hunting we came across the Peartree Restaurant. Had the steak special, a burger and a quesadilla. All were excellent as was the service. Great little off the beaten path.

These are pandemic times so I ordered via Skip the Dishes. Ordered a Skip exclusive surf and turf combo and salad. Everything was absolutely exquisite. From the Butter squash soup, the steak, lobster tail and salad. The carrot cake melts in your mouth. So much food that will serve as two meals. Will definitely order again.

Cute old fashioned place. Was instantly greeted by a straight faced host followed by a friendly young female server. The service was quick and the food tasted great. I ordered the eggs Benedict with Geeek salad insted of fries (+$2.50) and I was surprised with the quality of the salad. The price was just right, considering most brunch places in downtown Toronto would charge $15+ for an eggs Benedict. Unfortunately there was a hair in my dish, but I didn’t notice it until I was half way done...

Excellent restaurant, made us feel welcome and comfortable. Service is old school in a way I like--unobtrusive and professional. Food well prepared and delicious. Very good value

I ordered pickup for a picnic in Riverdale Park and was blown away by the BBQ shrimp salad. It was so fresh and vibrant in flavour with veg and fruit in a great balance, and perfect for the summer season. The owners were also lovely to speak with in the 2min I was there. I look forward to the next meal I try from Peartree Restaurant.
