I had multiple fried chicken dishes here and they’re all soooo good. Fried rice is amazing too.

“Pelicana Chicken, located at 730 Yonge St. just south of Bloor St., received 10 infractions – two crucial, six significant, one minor and one other. The crucial infractions against Pelicana, one of the largest food franchises in Korea, are failing to protect food from contamination or adulteration and refrigerating potentially hazardous foods at internal temperatures above 4C.The six significant infractions included failing to provide handwashing stations with adequate supplies, including hot and cold water, soap and paper towels, failing to equip the sanitary facility with hot and cold running water and failing to ensure the cleanliness of the equipment surface. The other infraction was its failure to ensure a food handler or supervisor was on the premises during all hours of operation.”
Tastyyyyy - from our Signature-flavoured boneless chicken to our side dishes such as cheese corn. Hoping for more branches to come! ?
It felt like a little hole in the wall bar. The chicken was pretty good, cooked fresh. A generous amount of cheesy topping as well.I'd reccomend there hot rice cake as well, it's not that terribly spicy imo, but you do need something else to eat with it.They also have good deals for a snack if it's just you going, like there eat two pieces of chicken and a beer deal.Worthwhile to go if you're in the area. Or just strolling by.

I ate it often in Korea, but it's been a while since I ate it in Canada. It's so delicious and the staff are so kind. Please come!!!!!♡너무너무 맛있어요
I'd give a 2.5 at best. It's a good piece of fried chicken drumstick. I bought the medium size original, $17.95 came to $20 after tax. I got ONE drumstick, ONE chicken wing, and tiny chicken ball pieces on the side. Altogether filled the tiny snack size box. Came with one small side, Korean radish. So besides the drumstick and the small chicken wing, I am not sure what I ate. $20 for a snack. They put two pairs of chopsticks in there by the way.And the radish, I do better than that. They have freshly soaked radish. I've made Korean radish at home in the summer, they need to be refrigerated for quite some time to get that taste in it. So I am changing the review to 1
A bit of a small place but the fried chicken is really good. Went with a small group and got the combo and extra medium size chicken it was good portions!Their chicken is super juicy and crunchy. The signature flavour and the dak gang jung flavour were delicious. The fries had great seasoning that was evenly distributed. The spicy rice cakes were super chewy. It was great that they provided a bucket for the bones and gloves. If you have a larger group probably best to call ahead especially for busy hours. The staff were really nice! I highly recommend coming here.
Found this place via google search for k-fried chicken at bloor-yonge area. Its surprisingly close so i checked it out 2 times. First time i got take-out for 1 medium oder of devil hot boneless. Quite delicous and the level of heat was bouncing back and forth from tolerable to hot. My wife and I enjoyed it !!! Next evening i ordered the same chicken plus an order of xtra spicy rice cakes. The rice cakes were also spicy hot but less than the chicken. The texture of the boneless chicken is more like a fried chicken dumpling than a chicken nugget. I thoroughly enjoyed their version of boneless chicken. The reason for the 4 out of 5 is their dining area of the restaurant. The restaurant is okay but sparsely decorated. The floor is abit greasy but most fried food restaurants are. But the most annoying thing to me is the loud pop music they play. I would never eat there because of that and the lack of decoration.I rate their food 5 out of 5.I will certainly order take out again when we want some pelicana fried chicken and spicy rice cakes !!!Btw, i have included a pic of their take out packaging. Their packaging is well designed and simple. The heavy paper bag imo is abit overkill but it all works and is quite attractive.
When a new restaurant opens in Toronto, I would usually wait at least 6 months for new resto to settle( in terms of quality & service) & check the legit reviews to make sure that I won’t be disappointed to try. However for KFC, I would go and try within their first 6 months of opening period cause it seems like chicken is so good at the beginning, then once they do really well, quality seems to go downhill.Tried their OG chicken($33.95) with super hot and spicy ? ? ? sauce($3) & soy garlic sauce($3) on the side. Chicken was FANTASTIC!! And surprisingly it went really well with seafood jjamppong noodle soup!Fried chicken tasted even better with indoor than take out.Their supposed to be “three chili” super spicy sauce was not spicy at all though. Also thought the way they cut chicken pieces into long rectangular shapes rather than round shape was very interesting.I will go back again and hope it stays this way.
Best fried chicken I've had in Canada! Incredibly CRUNCHY and juicy. I ended up ordering it 3 nights in a row. I like the original fried chicken with sauce on the side for extra crunchiness. I hope another Pelicana opens uptown near my place.

Really good portions for this price! Super tasty. Definitely going back to try their other flavours.
I wonder if the bad reviews came from other Korean restaurants… I ordered delivery many times and I think it’s definitely better than The Fry! Chicken are super crispy and the sauce is perfect! I recommend the garlic one.
I don't understand why the tip options on their card machine starts from 18% with this poor service. The staff here are not properly trained and did not provide me any service. The staff never gonna visit your table or check what you need except for when they deliver your foods. Don't get me wrong, I really don't care the quality of service when I dine in at the restaurant but if they want to ask 18% tip as minimum, I expect more than this - they need to visit other restaurants and see how others serve their customers.
Came here with my partner; he ordered a medium of the Pelicana Signature while I ordered the Hot Devil. The chicken was good, although almost felt too juicy (we were having a hard time figuring out if it was undercooked or not). Tasted pretty good, although I wish I had gotten a spicier flavour. The order did take around a half hour to come, so expect 25-35 minutes from when you order. It also feels like the portion size is smaller than what you get at The Fry. It was good, might have to come back for the combo meal for one and try that out.
Another Korean fried chicken joint to add to the neighbourhood! We ordered half Pelicana Signature, which could’ve used more flavour in the sauce, and half Super Hot & Spicy, which could’ve been spicier.Despite ordering ahead, we waited an additional 20 minutes after our quoted estimated pick up time. What I like about Pelicana is that they offer platters for one, which includes 3 pieces of chicken in your choice of flavour and comes with rice or fries, pickled radish, and pop. I will likely order this next time because it’s the perfect meal for one (instead of only getting a box of chicken). But will give them a few more weeks to find their “rhythm”.
