This modern Vienna style lager pours golden colour with amber hues and a good layer of foam. The nose is subtle with notes of grain, fresh hops, citrus and light malt. The subtlety follows through on the palate that is balanced and refreshing; this is one that is easy to enjoy.

Clear golden yellow colour with light foam; aromas of sweet malt, sour bread, light cereal and soft apple fruit with delicate floral, herb, apple/pear and citrus notes; dry, light bodied, crisp and refreshing, flavours of light malt, sweet toasted cereal/grain, with citrus and bready notes; finish is clean, mildly hoppy, with pleasantly bitter note.

Great Lakes Brewery is known for their Tank Ten limited release beers. Octopus Wants To Fight IPA is expressive, with floral, tropical fruit, evergreen and herbal notes dominating the nose. Creamy, frothy and citrusy on the palate; intense flavours of savoury herb, grapefruit and pine resin inspire creative food pairing.

Clear deep golden yellow colour with medium dense foam; aromas of floral hops, grain/malt with grassy and lemon notes; dry, light to medium bodied, with flavors of floral/grassy hops and malt, with citrus and herbal notes; lightly bitter on the finish.

The atmosphere is great at this place with a decent variety of music, nice lighting and movies or retro tv shows playing on the tv's by the bar which gives a cool vibe. The service is wonderful and all of the servers have always treated me well.

However, while I love the vibe here, I often wish that the movies had subtitles so that I could actually enjoy them rather than have them be a treasure presented before me that I cannot enjoy.

I love pennies! Been here a few times. It’s great, drinks are great, food is good too. The real reason why I am writing this review is for Justin who was working the bar tonight. He was great, the bar was full and he handled the bar really well, he took care of my friend and I, we were celebrating her birthday and he made it very special. Pennies is very lucky to have him.
