Searching in the area for a brunch and discovered this lovely spot. It’s small and cozy and has perfect cozy vibes. The breakfast was next level delicious. It’s a gem!!

My friends had been wanting to try this place for a while! We all ordered different dishes; classic French toast, a waffle, and the “Hungry” something (lol, forgot the exact name). The waffle was really soft on the inside and perfectly crispy on the outside. The salad, with apple and cucumber, was surprisingly well balanced and refreshing. However, the shredded potatoes were a bit too salty for us, and my friend didn’t enjoy them much. The flavors were strong, though not bad overall.

Very poor service in both visits. Just plain rude. Exactly as others have shared. Food not memorable. No reason to come here with so many better options nearby, including the very hospitable Corner Place and George St. Diner. One star for consistent poor customer service.
I notice other reviews noted possible racism. I would agree.

The breakfast at Petit Dejeuner by LPD Cafe was good.

The Hungry Gal Breakfast with Peameal Bacon, Eggs, Toast, and Apple Slaw was good. The Apple Slaw was unique and went very well with the eggs and peameal bacon.

The French Toast with Sausage and Eggs was good. The French Toast was fluffy and nicely made. The eggs were good. The sausage was okay.

The coffee was smooth and good.

My favorite restaurant in the neighborhood, always has fresh hollandaise, crisp waffles, perfectly cooked meat. Expect a line if it’s a nice sunny day! I

am super surprised to see the bad reviews honestly, cause I’ve been visiting here for breakfast for just over 5 years and have never experienced a bad time (even remotely). There’s been multiple instances where the host was incredibly customer friendly. One in mu recent most memory - I ordered an Irish coffee but quickly realized that I couldn’t stomach it so early in the morning; the host was so kind and understanding and replaced it with a latte! The food is amazing and best value as well.

If you’re looking for a cozy spot for winter, this place is perfect for a warm French breakfast and great coffee. They don’t take reservations, so you’ll likely wait in a queue, but it’s absolutely worth it. Easily one of the best brunch places and it might just become my regular go-to.

Had the waffles with onion and peppers and I was pleasantly surprised by the mix of savoury and sweet. The apple coleslaw was tasty enough for someone like me who doesn’t like green apples. I would go back just for the waffles.

This spot is a 10 out of 5. I was in town for a few days. Great staff. Food simply delicious. Caveat... I only had the pancakes and french toast...and eggs and bacon. Didn't try to waffle but I'd imagine it's just as good.

Great service. Big portions. Very yummy food. Cute old place, dark and quiet. Will go back next time we're in Toronto for sure.
