Told to come with much expectation, was very disappointed. The patty was overly greasy.
Chicken was really good. I give it a solid 8.7/10
I ordered a Jalapeño honey sandwich combo with fries. On their menu, the sandwich alone costs 12.5, large fries is 5, pop is 2. I paid 21.47 after tax. So the combo costs 6.5. it’s only 50 cents cheaper than buying fires and pop separately. Why would I pay for a combo then? i’m not even sure whether the fries in the large one…The food is good though, but the pricing is confusing
Great sandwiches
Went for a concert and wanted to grab some local food, found this place on google and it looked great. We ordered a six piece normal chicken strips and a Nashville chicken sandwich. The cashier didnt give us a ticket for our food but proceeded to give the next girl who came up a ticket, winking at her as she uncomfortably walked away. Our food came and we headed to a bench outside to eat. Human sweat all over the takeout containers, not grease like actual sweat. He gave me spicy chicken strips instead of the normal ones, which wouldn't be as big of a problem if I didn't have a stomach disorder causing me to throw up with certain spicy foods. The chicken was slimy and undercooked, and parts of the Nashville chicken in the sandwich were not cooked. The only star I've given this place was because of the potato salad, which is the only food I would recommend to get from there. Horrible experience overall, wouldn't recommend one bit.
This place has a lot of mice and rats saw hair in my food very gross!. Don't eat here !
Please don't go anyone this restaurant wast of food this restaurant and wast money 💰 please i request to all toronto people
Food was fantastic! We had the fish sandwich special and wish it was available year round! Definitely a must try in the city
One of the best chicken fried sandwiches you can have. Always a stop when I’m in Toronto. On Saturdays they also have a one off specialty doughnut, that are insanely delicious. Not sure if it’s available at both college and queen locations but worth it , if you’re craving a doughnut. Definitely recommend for a delicious chicken sandwich stop
I used to really enjoy the food here, but what I received tonight was so disappointing. The fried pickles used to be my favourite menu item, but oh my word… salt bomb! They were inedible due to the amount of salt (the pickles and the breading were both far too salty). Additionally, the breading slid off as soon as I bit into them. I also got spicy chicken tenders and the amount of powdered spice dumped on them made me cough and wheeze (and I love spicy food)! Sad to say I won’t be returning anytime soon. 😞
Restaurantji Recommends
Everyone always says this is the best fried chicken sandwich restaurant in Toronto and I just cannot agree with that. I've had PG clucks 3-4 times, sometimes takeout, sometimes fresh from the store. The flavours are always on point, the sauce is great and they are typically very large which I definitely enjoy.
My issue with this place is that I have never had a crispy piece of chicken from here. The first few times I got takeout I gave the benefit of the doubt as it had been sitting for a bit so it may lose crisp. After these experiences and all the recommendation I here from people I decided I had to try it fresh. I was super disappointed when even the fresh sandwich eaten at location was still not crispy AT ALL.
Maybe I coincidentally got unlucky with on a bad day because I'm always seeing reviews where people say it's crispy but honestly I have never experienced crisp from PG clucks fried chicken.
Having said all this I do still really enjoy the fried chicken sandwiches they offer. But I am a big advocate for EXTRA CRISPY chicken so if you are looking for crisp in my opinion there are better places.
Always enjoy the chicken here. However it’s only good for take away 😅 no dine in!
Great chicken sandwich—the sauce really adds a great touch. The fries supreme were a Taco Bell dupe and could’ve really used some protein.
First things first: it's delicious and you'll be fed.
There is no door involved with this place, you'll order tru the window if they open it. You gotta wait ten mins in Toronto's cold in the street unless u have a car.
Once you get your food it's good. But don't eat here on a date, it's messy to eat.
The dude said spicy is too spicy, so i had to order regular whereas i enjoy spicy.
I'll come back here when the weather is good and when i am very hungry. Overall yeah try at least once
Ordered a classic spicy sandwich on delivery, and it was delicious! Portion was huge too, could eat it in two meals. Will definitely order again. 🤤
