We wanted to try authentic Vietnamese and this is a comfortable and convenient joint in Old Toronto. Ordered shrimp tempura for starters and it was good & novel. For the mains, we ordered Pho Beef Brisket and the sea food platter which were tasty and wholesome at the same time. The quantity was apt for both the dishes and the staff were friendly & efficient. Might be an oxymoron but the restaurant is both airy and enclosed at the same time. Nice way to spend an evening or if you're in the mood for munchies. The only drawback was the fly which was a constant and that is why only four stars as the rating.
The pho is heavenly and it has a pretty exotic atmosphere. One of my fav places in Cabbagetown.
Nestled in the charming neighborhood of Cabbagetown, Phosome is a delightful vietnamese restaurant that instantly makes you feel at home. The space is welcoming and easy to find - perfect for a casual bite, a cozy coffee break or to share dinner with family. The service here truly stands out. Staff are so helpful and friendly and it's very clear that they put a lot of care when making dishes and drinks they serve. I had the lemongrass tofu banh mi and it did not disappoint. The baguette was wonderfully fresh with the perfect crunch, while the tofu was well seasoned and paired with crisp pickled veg. Very hearty and filling. I also had their iced viet coffee which had a good balance of bitter and sweet. Overall, a place worth trying and coming back to!
Asked for rare beef pho and got well done , did not offer replacements. Terrible service on the phone.
Great bahn mi at a great price.
Best vegetable spring rolls I’ve ever had.
Found a small cockroach in my soup halfway thru my meal….. really wish it never happened as I used to order takeout from here often and the food was flavorful but didn’t need the extra “protein”. clearly sanitation is a major concern at this establishment. After going through the negative reviews there were quite a few people were served with bugs in their food.
This is where I send the vegetarians for Pho! Rich broth! Two kinds of tofu! Good helping of veggies!
Decent food and lovely ambiance, but unfortunately left with a sour taste due to an uncomfortable interaction with one of the staff. After enjoying our meal, we asked for take out boxes, paid with a debit card (and tipped generously). My girlfriend went to the washroom while I stayed back scrolling on my phone and taking in the decor — we were in no rush and made no effort to appear like we were trying to leave unnoticed.
On our way out, we walked slowly towards the door, said “Thank you, bye” to the older lady at the counter (who wasn’t our server — she had only briefly helped us get hot sauce), and were met with “Have you paid?”
It caught us completely off-guard and honestly tainted what was otherwise a pleasant experience.
I’m not one to jump to conclusions or play the race card, but after sharing the story with friends, several pointed out that this could very well have been a microaggression — something worth reflecting on.
Grat place... I love their brisket pho. Lovely place

The pho here is really delicious, the staff is good and friendly. The space is airy, clean and cozy, suitable for couples and families.
Tofu tasted like raw toad meat 🤮
Some decent Viet/Thai food.
The pho is good but this place is unclean. Especially the bathrooms.
