Really Basic, doesn’t have any taste or anything special! The food presentation was good service was good but not worth it
I had the chance to visit Pigeon Cafe & Bar, a spot that blends a modern atmosphere with a cozy touch. From the moment I walked in, I noticed the minimalist yet warm design — rattan chairs, clean tables, and an overall inviting vibe. It’s the kind of place that works perfectly whether you want to sit down with your laptop for a few hours or simply enjoy a nice meal with friends.
The food 🥪🥗
I ordered a chicken sandwich with a fresh side salad. The sandwich was beautifully presented, with perfectly toasted bread that had just the right crunch. Inside, the chicken was juicy and well-seasoned, layered with crispy bacon, fresh lettuce, ripe tomato, and a touch of mayonnaise that tied all the flavors together. It wasn’t dry at all — the balance between textures and flavors made it really enjoyable.
The salad on the side was also a highlight: fresh, colorful, and light. It included vibrant cherry tomatoes in different colors, crunchy lettuce, and slices of red onion, all of which made it refreshing and a perfect complement to the sandwich.
The coffee ☕
Of course, I couldn’t leave without trying the coffee. I went for a cappuccino, served in a simple white cup with a small pigeon illustration — a nice detail that matches the cafe’s branding. The coffee itself was smooth and creamy, with a well-textured foam and a balanced flavor that wasn’t too bitter. It felt comforting and well-made, the kind of coffee that makes you want to sit back and take your time.
Overall ✨
Pigeon Cafe & Bar is more than just a place to grab a bite; it’s a spot where food presentation, flavor, and ambiance all come together. The chicken sandwich and salad were satisfying and fresh, and the cappuccino rounded out the experience perfectly. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxed, stylish cafe with quality food and coffee.
Good environment, mediocre food and service
I came here for a meeting with two colleagues, and it was one of the most unpleasant restaurant experiences I’ve had in Toronto.
The restaurant was nearly empty when we arrived. Since we were three people and the booth only fit two, we politely pulled up an extra chair. A server came by, asked if they could have the chair back, and we agreed—as long as they could first seat us at a table that actually accommodated three people. She understood and said no problem.
Not even five minutes later, another server (different from the first, much ruder) came over and repeated the same thing. We explained—again—that we were already waiting for a new table, but she just kept arguing instead of helping. When she finally offered to move us, she bizarrely added conditions (“only for half an hour,” “if you come back, make sure…”) and then accused us of being rude—despite the fact that we calmly explained we were simply on a time limit for our meeting.
The place was empty, yet instead of accommodating us, the staff wasted our time bickering with us even though we repeatly said we were happy to move elsewhere.
The lack of communication between servers and the unprofessional, confrontational attitude turned what should’ve been a simple lunch meeting into a complete waste of our time.
We walked out of an empty restaurant—and that says it all. New spot, high staff turnover, and zero professionalism. If you’re in town for TIFF or otherwise, do yourself a favour and skip Pigeon. There are too many good restaurants in Toronto to waste your time here

Love this spot for sitting down and having a meal — the food and atmosphere are great in person. But ordering on UberEats is a totally different story. There’s a dramatic drop in quality, and they ignore all customization requests. I even called to give feedback, and the person who answered brushed me off with, “you weren’t being charged extra for the customization,” as if that excused it. Super disappointing. I’d recommend dining in, but don’t bother with delivery unless you’re okay with getting “whatever” shows up.

Terrible experience. Came here on 6th Sept at 11:40 am. Had a reservation for 11:45. After being seated, we were asked 5 mins in if we were ready to order and we requested a few minutes more to decide. 3 mins later, another server came and asked us again if we were ready and we said we need a few mins. To point out it had been 7 mins since we were seated & 5 mins since our reservation started. The server says “I don’t want to rush you but I am fully booked and your reservation will end in 1 hour and 15 mins. Not to be rude but I suggest you figure it out soon”. This was extremely rude and unnecessary. Her tone was not welcoming at all and there were many other ways to tell us about the time limit. Safe to say I won’t be returning for this horrible service. We immediately got up and left.
Wonder why I was sold yesterday's croissants for full price when come to eat them they are stale and hard? We already pay a lot more than we used to in order to go out in restaurants, please be honest and sell your food according to quality, or actually sell the quality you are charging for. I can not give an opinion for service as my order was takeout.

Arrived at noon on a Saturday. Seated and served quickly. The food was very good. A large bowl of hummus with pomegranate seeds and toasted pita. A side of avocado with basil microgreens. A cappuccino. This was a delicious and filling meal at a very reasonable price.

4-5 stars for service and atmosphere. 2/5 for the food. The presentation of the food is aesthetically pleasing, however the food is mid quality lacking flavour or any type of seasoning really..pretty disappointing. Considering the price it’s pretty bad. The coffees/beverages & potatoes however are great!

Me and my girlfriend enjoyed a nice breakfast at the Pigeon Cafe. We say outside, and it’s very cozy and safe. The ice coffee is good. We split an omelette which was delicious, the potatoes were overly seasoned, very strong paprika and smoky taste, less seasoning and more salt would’ve been good. As a Frenchman from France, they had merguez so I took a side of it to try it, and the taste is excellent. It doesn’t look like a traditional Moroccan merguez, but the taste is very similar.

Good food, particularly enjoyed their avocado toast. The honey and balsamic are perfect additions that set this one apart from more basic iterations. Decent service. We went later in the morning and on a week day and we were seated immediately.

Happened to visit this restaurant today.
I noticed a lady, I hope its the manager, being rude and disrespectful to the servers, thou they were nice and welcoming to the customers. I believe these criticisms are to be communicated personally to the co-workers not in-front of customers, thats so embarrassing to them and unpleasant for the customers too.
However, must say the food and service were appreciable.

The staff service was horrible! My friends and I came to eat and we got placed outside. We waited for 10 minutes with no menus. We had to go ask the waitresses for menus, it’s outrageous! Your job is to bring menus for your customers! One of my friends brought her Chipotle. One of the waitresses came up to her and VERY rudely said “Guys, no outside food.” with a rude face. Keep in mind, WE ARE LITERALLY OUTSIDE. She was forced to put it away and stay hungry. She was supposed to just starve because they were taking too long in the kitchen. We have been waiting for almost an hour for a club sandwich and the food is still not here. It’s not my problem that they are “backed up”, it’s a damn sandwich! Don’t waste your time here.
