Pizza Maru Kitchen+Bar

The food and the flavor were great, service was good too. However, I had to dock off a star because the chicken wings we ordered were raw in the middle. Nearly all of the insides were bloody at the bone and 1 wing in particular even had fleshy tendon…. I hope it was just a 1 time overlook on the cooks part, and when we’re back we won’t experience that issue again.

Food was nothing short of fantastic, although it will get 5 stars if it had some what more sauce... otherwise it was absolutely great, the Katsu (very similar to German snichenitzel). The atmosphere was the not the best for us with the music overly loud and rather disturbing.

Wow. First time here and was impressed by the decor, service and food quality. I tried Pizza Maru in Toronto, and this location beat it. Service was particularly friendly and quick. Please come to Edmonton as well ? We desperately need Korean style pizza and better donkatsu there too.

pork katsus are delicious but the brick cheese portion was a bit small
had butter chicken garlic pizza and bulgogi pizza, lots of flavors and toppings
you get some freebies too!

I've heard great things about this place (though it was empty when I went), but am extremely disappointed...pizza dough has gone bad and the staff wouldn't admit to it, claiming it's just "green tea powder." I do worry if there is mold...place should get checked on cause food like this should not be served. Would recommend ppl do some due diligence before eating. Yikes

Very modern dining experience the staff girls are very friendly and explained the menu really well. The Korean pizza especially the Corn Cheese is a nice twist and worth while trying they have different options for non veg options. But limited veg options which could be expanded. Filling portions and delicious preparation of the pizzas with fresh veggies on the veggie pizza.

The food tasted okay, but our pizza was dark, the dough was almost black. It's hard to tell in the picture, but the dough was very tough and dark. They said it was green tea dough but green tea dough does not look like this according to a quick Google search.

I believe we were served BAD dough.

So Happy to finally get to try Katsuya ♥️ Atmosphere, Service, and the FOOD were AMAZING!!! ? tried the curry katsu and the cheesy supreme katsu with croquettes as appetizer and they were all Great! Portions are huge, too! We had Milkis and Ade for drinks and they are addicting! Will definitely come back to try other katsu flavours and their Pizzas! ?
