We have gone here several times and it never disappoints. The food and service are exceptional. You have to try the truffle Mac and cheese and their linguini is outstanding.

Visited this place for a first date a Sunday night….the vibe was unsettling. There’s only male servers everywhere in the lounge, not that that’s a problem of course but they seemed to be very distracted doing other things other than serving the tables. We had no idea who our server was, everytime we asked for something from someone that person said they were going to get the server who still weren’t sure who exactly it was. We had to ask three different times to place a drink order, when my partner got his negroni it was extremely sweet. The food is very average especially for the price, it was not busy and the food seemed cold and clumpy. It was my first experience here and for the price it was overall an unpleasant experience. We didn’t want anything for free or to complain this genuinely just seems to be how they do things here. I would not recommend this place.

Great vibe. Service was the best. Attention to your every need and they go above and beyond. A little more expensive than some Italian restaurants but worth every penny by far. Will be going back

Tomato pasta was absolutely amazing. Wine selection was great. Open late so it’s my new go to for after working a late night.

Came for a quick bite. Prices are expensive for what's available, pain au chocolat was just okay, there wasn't much chocolate inside. Employees were very nice and friendly though

I have literally never had such bad service in my life. Servers were extremely rude. Ignored every single woman at the table but kept checking on the men (assuming because they thought that they were paying they weren't )
Food wasn't great told my server and she just took my plate and rolled her eyes never asked if she could replace it or anything so I didn't get to eat at all and was still charged for the plate that I sent back with 1 bite out of.
I would not recommend this place ever simply for the service.
don't understand how someone could work in the service industry and be this rude to paying customers.
Paid over $400 for mediocre food and terrible service.
I've literally had better pasta from pizzaville lol

Celebrated my birthday late September and my group of 8 had an amazing time. The ambiance was 10/10. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their drinks and dish..

Some of the items we ordered:
1. Lamp chops 10/10
2. Vodka burrata rigatoni 10/10
3. Salmon Tatiki 10/10

Came here with my self and a friend (2 people) waiter tried to charge me Gratuity on a $150 dollar bill then when I brought it up he says we’re sitting at a table that can hold 6 people so he thought it was fair to charge Gratuity. Manager came and agreed that his waiter was out of line for attempting that. Waiter was a tall Caucasian male with a blond comb over. Garbage restaurant.

I’ve been dining at Moretti for years, but after my recent visit, I won’t be returning. While the food was okay, nowhere near as good as it used to be the service was truly disappointing.
We arrived at 10:15 p.m. for a quick bite after the Raptors game. It was just the two of us, and we were finished and ready to leave by 10:50 p.m. We ordered only pasta—no drinks, no dessert—so our server’s only tasks were taking our order and bringing out the dishes. Despite this, he brought us the bill with nearly $9 charged for bottled water, even though we had specifically asked for tap water.

Worse yet, he added an 18% automatic gratuity. When I questioned it—since gratuities of that kind are clearly meant for parties of six or more—he claimed it was because we were seated at a table that used to be part of a larger setup. That excuse made no sense. Regardless of how the tables were arranged earlier, we were a party of two and had been there for less than an hour.
When we pointed this out, the server became noticeably rude, even trying to snatch the payment machine away while making comments like, “Did you not get good service?” The whole interaction felt unprofessional and uncomfortable.

Overall, the experience felt like a scam. Seeing another review describing almost the exact same situation makes me believe this may be a recurring issue—and that’s unacceptable. Moretti, I truly hope you address these issues before you drive away more loyal customers.
