We visited Moretti in June while in Toronto and had an amazing server. The food and drinks were excellent. The attention we received was on par with our expectations and experiences at other restaurants of this caliber. Our visit on October was quite different. The service was poor despite there being few customers in the restaurant. The host who seated us didn't appear welcoming or acknowledge that we had a reservation. The server spent the majority of our meal gathering with other employees at the front door watching pedestrians walk by. The food tasted a bit heavy on salt, however, that was not our main cause for disappointment. For us, service is everything, whether in a breakfast diner or 4 star restaurant. We felt overlooked. Moretti missed the mark.
Ordered chicken parmigiana dish last night and the chicken was god knows what. It was very old and chewy. By far the worst chicken I’ve had. told the staff about it only for them to bring it back and say no everything’s good..

I’m reposting this because my first review was deleted. I went to this restaurant with my friend, a party of two, and it was honestly unbelievable. As soon as we sat down, they offered us water, which we assumed was complimentary like every other restaurant. When the bill came, we were charged $8.51 for the water without being told it wasn’t free.
They also automatically added an 18% tip even though we were only a party of two. We’re students, and I’ve never seen a restaurant do that for such a small group.
The food itself was decent but way overpriced, and the whole experience felt sneaky and dishonest. They also don’t accept tap, so I had to e-transfer my friend just so she could pay for me.
I’ll be attaching our receipts in this review so people can see exactly what I’m talking about. Don’t waste your money here; there are plenty of better places that treat customers with respect.
From the start, the staff made the $75 minimum spend per person a constant focus — it felt like more pressure than hospitality. They reminded us multiple times about it before we even had a chance to look at the menu.
We waited over 20 minutes before anyone came to our table, and throughout the meal, the service was practically non-existent. The waiters only appeared to take food orders and then disappeared right after — no check-ins, no refills, nothing. We had to flag someone down every time we needed something.
On top of that, they try to quietly run up your bill with $8 water bottles, refilling without asking if you want more. It felt more like a sales tactic than service.
For the price and the hype, the experience was nowhere near worth it. There are plenty of better spots in Toronto that actually care about their guests — this isn’t one of them.

Service was good, got their top recomended dishes. Food was 3/10 not worth was you're paying. 18% gratuity was added automatically for a table of 3. Would not recommend this restaurant.
The food was amazing. the atmosphere was just the same, and really appreciate what the staff did. We had a great time looking forward to going again.
Came here for a birthday dinner, I should have read the reviews first. I don't like restaurants that nickel and dime their customers. Spent $255 for two people and the server wanted a higher tip in the end. For what? To insinuate that you want a higher tip is so rude/unprofessional. Maybe when you improve your low level service then you can ask me for more.
The lobster ravioli was horrible. The lobster tasted old and bitter. The ravioli wasnt al dente it was hard. They have a dress code yet the incompetent server spills pizza sauce all over my guests 300 dollar shirt. Shouldn't went to cactus club Ps. My sisters lasagna was great. The oysters were good too. All guests left before my vday dessert finally arrived.
Awful place all around. Servers were drunk, asking us to come get them when we were ready. They were sitting down at the front table taking shots with clients. The owner was smoking cigarettes in the doorway. Didn't even stay to eat. Just a gross dining experience.

At Moretti you pay not for food, but to be ignored. Not once did anyone ask about the meal or check in. The only time they run to the table is to drop the bill and collect payment. Food was lacklustre and the bill was disproprionate to the value or care. You need some redeeming qualities to behave like this. You have none.

Cure restaurant but the food wasn’t over the top with flavours. It was good but definitely had better at other restaurants. We came for my birthday and my friends for me a cake. They did charge them a slice fee, which we tried to ask if we can cut it ourselves but wasn’t an option. So rethink bringing a cake here if you don’t want to pay an extra fee to cut it. Overall, service was good but don’t think I would come again.

Came in after the Jay's game tonight and was served by Taz! Had an amazing experience, thanks to the amazing bartenders and Taz recommendations. Rigatoni vodka is a must try along with the capaletti, we are already planning our next visit!!!

Not the best experience here! When we sat down, our waiter asked us if we wanted water, we said yes. We didn't know that we were going to be charged $8 for it. It was ridiculous because they didn't inform that. Yet they charged us for it after? Once we mentioned how this was not fair, they removed that charge. Also, they charged us gratuity per head. Now if we came with a group, I understand why we'd be charged gratuity. However, it was only my friend and I. She ordered a $24 pizza and somehow her bill became $40. They did not mention a sprite was $6, as well as the ridiculous gratuity charge they only mentioned when we were ready to pay. It was ridiculous.
Additionally, another thing I didn't like was how the waiter kept asking us if we're done eating. We made it clear many times no we are not, yet he kept coming back while we were finishing up. Food is overpriced for average quality and small portions. Would not recommend going here!
