We had a very enjoyable experience at our visit. The quality of the food was great and on top of that very Good service from Paras.
Paras waiter is amazing, you guys should ask for him especially when you guys sit at the restaurant🤞🏾🤞🏾
The best Italian restaurant in the city. Management team and staff are wonderful.
We had a group of 10 people and had the absolute best time and service. The wait staff were very attentive and made our night. Special shout out to Vini and his team for a great experience as always. Shant & Katey
Love the staff....Vinny was amazing.
Please do not waste your money at Moretti.
The food was okay at best, but does not justify the pricing. Service is terrible. The waiters were standing around talking to each other and did not take our orders until 30 minutes after we were seated. They were asking to take away our plates before we have even finished our food. The servers and chefs were Indian and did not speak fluent English.
They spent over 20 minutes getting our bill and told us that their systems were down. We were forced to e-transfer our bill to the bartender. Asking to e-transfer 650$ is simply ridiculous.
We were also forced to pay an 18% gratuity and were charged for water.
Food was very delicious and services is also great
Server was inexperienced, not properly trained. Tartare Di tonno was served at the end of the meal like it was a dessert and not an appetizer. Ravioli All’Aragosta was undercooked (no it was not al dente as I know what Al Dente was supposed to taste in terms of texture. Polipo Al Ferri was straight up rubbery/unappetizing. Margherita was undercooked, literally the sauce/cheese slid off the slice the moment it was picked up/dough was under cooked. Literally the WORST Italian cuisine I’ve ever had. How is the highlight of my dinner the Fritto Misto (You can’t really mess up Fried calamari/seafood) when this place is supposed to be known for Pasta/Pizza. Truly a disappointment of a restaurant of this caliber. Big changes are needed in not only Management but kitchen staff as orders at the same table were brought out at separate times, my friends’ orders came out before my order even though they had ordered 30 minutes after I placed my order. This place is in DESPERATE need of help, would NEVER recommend this place to anyone that wanted to try Toronto’s Italian cuisine.
I had really high expectations for Moretti after seeing it all over social media and hyped up by influencers, but unfortunately, it didn't live up to any of it. The food arrived cold, which was already disappointing. The vodka pasta was bland and forgettable, and the ribeye was dry and lacked flavour. For the price we paid, the quality just wasn't there. Neither my partner nor I were satisfied, and honestly, I wouldn't come back or recommend it to anyone
Service was horrible, portions are smaller. Server was rude, don't think I'll ever be coming back.
Restaurantji Recommends
the food was great as always. But what made this experience all the more amazing was the service by Pavel. He was incredible, attentive, great recommendations, not over-bearing, pleasant and engaging. Best service I've ever had at Moretti's.
Our didn't get the name of our server but he was wonderful. (Date of visit: June 12 at 7pm)
There was a threesome in the bar/dining area that were boisterous, loud and obnoxious and the woman was vaping. There was a less than effective, meek attempt by the manager to have them tame their irreverent behaviour. It would appear they were known to the staff and an apparent indifference. It was quite unpleasant. The food was delicious and well presented. The service was less than attentive.
Be very careful !!!!! The “new” management and staff are very sneaky with your bill! We were 5 people and charged 5.11 each for water and when asked why he said because our original booking was for 8. He said it was for 3 water bottles when our server only brought out 1 and NEVER came back to refill any of our waters. They then charged a 4 dollar cake cutting fee for each person but didn't cut the cake or bring new cutlery. We waited 20 min for each drink and our server forgot about 2 out of 5 appetizers offered. We kept having to reorder our drinks because he would forget! Then each person was forced to pay 18% tip even though it was 5 people. Mind you the restaurant was next to empty. If it was busy I would have understood. When manager was called his response was well what do you want? HORRIBLE! You can have low quality service when your trying to be a Upper scale restaurant.
The glasses and utensils need to be cleaned properly. When we sat down the glasses on our table were hazy and sticky to the touch. Maybe the dishwasher needs to be cleaned? All they did was “polish” the glasses afterwards. At least offer smaller water bottles so that way people can just drink from the bottle if they choose. Otherwise, the food and service were good.
