I had an amazing date experience in the dome's! Staff were extremely friendly, the food was phenomenal and well priced, the restaurant was very clean, quiet ambience, parking near by. Overall, I would highly recommend this restaurant / dome experience, definitely worth it!

Food was terrible, menu subpar, not enough variety. They are trying to be a Spanish tapas restaurant but not working for them at all. Maybe they should stick to the basics, they’d be more busy as we were the only table there. ( they literally used Doritos chips for the “Spanish” style nachos) All we want after a long journey to Toronto , is to get to the Sonesta hotel, go to their restaurant and eat good food. Very disappointed.

Great concept... the dome-dining was such a novel and fun experience. The drinks were delicious and the food was on point! All around wonderful! Highly recommend.

A review by Critical Knife and Fork:

Sometimes a hotel bar can really surprise you! Proof had a great burger, tasty nachos, and crispy fries, exactly what we needed for a last-minute bite. A couple of martinis later, the bill was under $150, which felt fair for the quality and vibe. Cozy spot, good food, good service, and good drinks.

A wonderful hidden gem that my friend and I discovered by chance last year and we returned this year to experience the magic all over again. Great food, servers and ambiance!!

Incredible! My mother and I felt like VIP from the moment we arrived.
Our server was a sweet angel who made sure everything was perfectly managed.
The chef sent out two appetizers as a special treat with our cocktails.. we then had our mains and even dessert. The food was incredible!
Cocktails; Cranberry Mule, Cuban... something ;)
Apps; the olives, and the shrimp
Mains; Pad Thai, and Salmon Pokémon bowl
Desserts;.Chocolate cake, Cheesecake
The dome was warm and cozy and set the stage for a memorable Christmas visit.
I am thrilled and cannot wait to dine here again!

This is a great place to meet with friends for drinks and light fare, especially if you are going to a performance at Koerner Hall. The ambiance is cosy and soothing with a gentle jazz music that makes quiet conversations possible. We inadvertently arrived in time for happy hour, which made the experience more than reasonably priced. Our server was thoughtful and prompt. I'll be back.

Service, food and drink were good. The music selection was not good - instead of a sophisticated ambience, it was pop songs on repeat, and a bit too loud.

Honestly I don't usually leave reviews but the dining domes were very underwhelming and it was cold despite the heaters placed in the domes. But, what do you expect? it's December. lol. The designated $69 menu.... very very limited choices that were not great. So we, myself and 2 other friends, were given the option to choose from the regular menu with a $85min spend. That was a nice gesture. They could've said “too bad.” But they didn't. Decent menu options. I got the tiger shrimp as a starter and it came with x3 pieces of shrimp and risotto. tasted delicious. My friend got the croquettas, she didn't love them. I tried them, wasn't a fan. Then I got the burger, because I haven't had one in a while. I would not recommend the burger. 2/10. May I add that my friends were also underwhelmed by the experience and the food and gave the night overall a 3/10. One got the ham pizza, the other got a pasta, I forget which one, that she says was overly salted and tastes like the bacon and the other protein was all cooked in the same pan. I got the creme brûlée for dessert, that was okay. I'd give it a 4.5/10. I got a glass of the Torrent Bay, amazing 10/10. As for the service..... meh... I reasoned it might be the cold weather because I wouldn't be too happy about providing service in the cold either. So i won't rate that. We were hit with an unexpected mandatory tip included in the total during payment. That was interesting. I will say tho, we were a little late for our reservation and they let us stay over our time because there were no other reservations. That was kind of them. Nonetheless, a cute place to take pictures and have drinks at the bar. Not for a good meal. I wouldn't go back, personally. Not for the food. Not for the drinks. & especially because I've experienced the dining domes elsewhere and had a 9/10 experience and the food selection on that set menu was great. I'd say go experience the dining domes elsewhere. Cheers

We had a very, lovely experience, enjoying the Proof Bar domes in the courtyard of the Royal Sonesta hotel in Toronto. The service was top notch as was the ambience!
