Lovely experience dining at Pukka last night. The food was beyond delicious and the service was wonderful and attentive. The restaurant itself is cosy and warm. Would highly recommend. We look forward to returning in the near future.

I went to Pukka for my birthday dinner with three others. Overall the food was excellent. The Boatman's Fish and Prawns was my favourite dish. Rich with coconut milk and wonderfully full of both savoury and tart notes. We also ordered the Garam Masala Duck, Hakka Tofu, Pumpkin Curry, and Okra Fries. All of it was tasty and made well, with unique flavours. The okra fries were crispy and addictive, though I didn't get a strong okra flavour from them. The naan was great. I have to commend the pumpkin curry. It is hard to make a pumpkin curry that is savoury enough to balance the sweetness, but Pukka does it! I gave the restaurant four rather than five stars because I really did not like the cocktails we tried. I found the flavours off-putting and one of them was cloyingly sweet.

Still one of my favourite Indian restaurants not just in Toronto but in North America. Food is a nice twist on traditional Indian—with just the right amount of innovation and modernization to make it interesting without losing the connection to the traditional food we love. Food is always clean and fresh tasting, with quality spices, and not too heavy. Service is friendly and attentive too. We just keep going back.

The food and service were excellent. We ordered the Punjabi chicken, butter chicken, eggplant tartare, garlic naan and basmati rice. They were all served pretty quickly, fresh and full of flavour. The portions were generous, and we were both more than satisfied by the end of the meal. While the interior design isn't particularly striking, the lively atmosphere and steady flow of guests made for a very enjoyable dining experience.
