Was downtown for a concert and walked around St Lawrence market. Discovered this shop on lower level. It was end of day (5pm) and the sushi specials were on! Picked up two boxes of salmon sushi and a big portion of shrimp and veg tempura with 2 Perriers drinks for 39 bucks taxes in. Fish was fresh but what wowed me was the rice for the sushi. There's a finess for sushi chefs to put together the rice with the right packing pressure so it's not dense and squished but a nice fluffy without it crumbling. Every piece has that craft. The tempura was still good and crispy for end of day. They had veg tempura items like red pepper and regular white potatoes that I've never had before. I'd say it was a serendipitous find for us that hit the spot, very satisified and at a great price.
This is my go-to place for sushi, whenever I'm in the area. Always fresh, quick and a great deal!
Fresh fish for a decent price! Also love their tempura. Not too oily and super crispy. Will definitely go back
Delicious food and great service!
Very good
Food and service are amazing. Always hits the spot. Highly recommend if you're craving Bibim bap and in the St Lawrence Market area!
Very good Korean-style sushi & food in the heart of St. Lo Market. Love the adorable grandmas in the back working their magic. Everything was fresh and they even checked up on me while I sat and ate my food! Will be back <3
I've been going here for 3 years, and in the last 6 months, the serving size has been cut down by at least one third with the price staying the same or getting higher. Dumplings in boxes have been replaced with cold over salted edamame. Slippery slope. Went from weekly customer to once every 2 months
☹️ regret going here!!! SO OVERPRICED!!!!!
i paid $18 for a spicy pork bibimbap and the portion was a moderately sized bowl with SHREDDED PORK. I was extremely disappointed with the minimal amount of pork given in this bowl for that high of a price. Additionally, the shrimp tempura is sold for $4 EACH. I would not recommend buying food from here as it is mediocre food for an extreme price.
My fianceé and I picked up dinner here. My fianceé had a hair in her sushi and also couldn't finish the salmon sushi because the salmon had a stale fatty texture that didn't taste right. We tossed the food because we didn't want to get food poisoning. The woman who sold the food to us was polite, but this place should be shut down.

If I could give this zero stars, I absolutely would. I’m beyond disappointed. I ordered the spicy tempura ramen, and as soon as I tasted the broth, I realized it was nothing more than packaged kimchi noodles served in a to-go bowl with a garnish on top. I paid $15 for something I could have easily bought at the grocery store. I feel completely scammed!
Although the staff was friendly and the service was quick, it felt like they didn’t care at all about the quality of the food. Nothing was cooked to order. It was all pre-prepped and assembled. Even the fried egg on my bibimbap wasn’t freshly cooked. My meal was cold and flavorless, and it took literally just one minute to prepare, no exaggeration. Which made it clear that no effort or passion went into making my meal.
I also got four pieces of nigiri, but it didn’t taste fresh. The salmon, in particular, had an unpleasantly greasy, fatty texture, which was really off-putting.
For $27, I expected a bit more effort. Considering there were no other customers at the time and no line, I would've appreciated if they took some extra time to prepare food with more love and freshness.
Overall, this was a disappointing experience. I’ve had much better meals at the Lawrence Market, and if I’d known better, I would’ve spent my money somewhere that truly valued the food and customer experience.
1/10. I won’t be returning.
Never disappointed whatever I order ! Friendly staff and great food!
This place used to be great! Never the friendliest service but fairly efficient. The food was amazing with incredible portion sizes, up until recently! I've been going here for two years, and in the last 3 to 4 months, the serving size has been cut down by at least one third wth the price staying the same. Don't go here as often now. Greed or inflation, either way, I'm not supporting that noise.
