One of my favourite patisseries in Toronto. I have been enjoying their delectable pastries, cookies, tarts, and cakes for almost 2 decades now. Quality products with consistency you can rely on. It's a shame I live across the city from them, otherwise I would be there quite often! š
Terrible, totally unfriendly with ppl with disabilities sad
Overall ok
I bought several items on Friday and I was shocked by the poor quality: the Basque cake was dry and obviously not fresh, the palm cookies, both salty and sweet were stale, even the croissants were dry. I have been a client for several years and cannot believe how bad it has gone. I do not recommend this place anymore.
Been going to Rahier for over 20 years. Always top quality. Don't be fooled by copycats. Only one Rahier.
Charged for the plaque on my own birthday cake after being told it was free when I ordered it. Definitely not the best customer experience.
Response: Since you insist on technicalities, you are correct. You told my father that it was of no charge because he paid ahead of time. Had it been the situation you described, when I came to pick up the cake you wouldn't have insisted that I pay for the plaque. Suffice to say, you have lost our business over $1.95.
This French patisserie has been at this location for the longest time and was my families regular weekend stop for fresh pastries.
But in the last 2 years their prices have increased , some items close to doubled take their sandwiches!
The turkey and Brie were $6.99 a reasonable price buy it is now $10.99 for the same sandwich! Last week i ordered ordered my favourite sliced pear serving for 8 and when i picked it up i was shocked to pay $60 for a pie 8-10 inches. while their quality has dropped and their fillings in their croissant has become smaller and almost invisible.
Their pastry was unique with authentic French taste but today there are many more options and this location has become greedy and taking the customers for granted the same old customers that have supported them for the last 15-20 years.
When this happens, itās time to stop supporting this store and wish them the best!
Parking has also become a big problem on the street, make sure you get a ticket no matter, the parking attendants are always around Bayview on this section!
I have been coming to Rahier for years. Relaible, consistent, authentic, Everything made fresh- all the thingsā¦.
Naturally, pastries arenāt a daily consumption so I only go periodically. What we do consume often is baguette. We live near blackbird and the local cheese shop carries Epi, so those are the ones we have often.
Bought some pastries this weekend at Rahier and decided without hesitation to add a baguette- French bakery and allā¦..WRONG!!!!!! never again.
To put it mildly- they were on par with the no name ābaked in houseā baguettes in the bakery at Food Basics or No Frills. The ones you bring to someoneās house and say āsorry, thatās all they had or all I could getā.
I put this here for awareness- not negativity. Worst baguette Iāve had from an actual bakeryā¦which makes me question things about the bakery.
Epi, Blackbird, Cliffside, Mon K, La Bastille⦠all with a proper baguette⦠Rahierās? Was just sad..really sad...
Hope someone gets on the ānew and improvedā over there..cause this screams We serve pre-made. Honestly- are these ready made from frozen? š
My favorite cake . The degas . Amazing pear tart. Very good apple tart and their pastries are also very good.
Iāve been going to Rahier for 14+ years⦠is it me or did the mousse cakes get sweeter and not as delicious as they used to be.
Restaurantji Recommends
No longer the same quality. The bread, croissants, and brioche is dry and flavourless. Used to be rich and tasty, and worth the price. Now itās less than average and not worth it. Very disappointed, not to mention the staff doesnāt even smile. Sad as I used to rave about it.
Worst service ever
Terrible customer service, very rude on the phone
