Lovely long time local cafe and patisserie. If you get them fresh, probably still one of the best croissants East of yonge st. Cakes are phenomenal. Everything here is better than that other place up there

This place is a very nice bakery with plenty of options. We tried so far only a few breads and a cake. The plum tart we got was very good and lasted without any issue in the fridge for a few days. It was great overall.

I love this patisserie. My Belgium friend introduced them to me almost 25 years ago. Since then, this has been my go-to spot for baked goods. Whenever I am in the area, I have to make a trip there. My favorite is the apricot tart. Love the buttery taste of the crossiants and danishes. Their desserts are not too sweet.

This used to be my favourite patisserie before it was sold to new owners a few years ago. Since then, the quality of deserts have deteriorated steadily as has their customer service. The croissants are not as buttery or fluffy, the tarts have the minimal fruit possible while their prices have gone up...We bought lemon tarts in early October 2023, and we got food poisoning. When we reported this to the store, they dismissed us saying that there was "no way that what we were claiming could be directly liked to them"...A week later, and to our shock, we read in blogTO that Rahier was flagged by City Food Inspectors with 12-health infractions, 1-crurcial infraction for not properly refregirating food, 5-significant infractions regarding sanitary conditions and 5 other minor infractions relating to clean premises and food-handling, and 1-other...Very sad...New owners do not seem to have a handle on the store, on their quality control or service. However, if the customers in Leaside dont know better and are willing to pay top prices for Rahier products, one wonders...We did not place any orders for either Christmas or New Years for the first time in 20-years that we can remember. Thank you to the Toronto City Inspectors who are on top of things. Our conclusion: Shop there at your own peril...

Been coming here for over 20 years. Even though it's quite far drive from me, they're my go to place for croissants, quiches and baguettes. Butter croissants are very flakey and strong in butter Quiches- ham/cheese and bacon/onion are our go to. Baguettes- buy as is or buy them as sandwiches! Tuna is our ultimate fav Cakes- lot of variety but def on sweet side. If you like pistachio make sure to try Pompadour, only available in winter. Opera is classic as well. During holidays they offer different yule logs as well as croquembouche. Overall worth trying but make sure you go early for better selection or reserve ahead of time.

Been there a few times and stopped going because: 1. Tables with dirty plates and mugs uncleaned for long time even on hot summer days 2. There seemed to be sufficient staff however service is VERY slow and unfriendly(I was told the "rule" was to line up at the back to order although there was no staff nor customer there, and I was carrying a cranky toddler). 3. Like others mentioned, food handling seemed to be questionable. So not surprised to see why during the October DineSafe Inspection, the City issued Conditional Pass with 12 infractions, some of them I have seen/experienced myself.

I just served a Rahier Raspberry Mouse cake that I picked up from the Cheese Boutique. As ever, it was spectacular - the best cake in Toronto. Thanks for making our birthday celebration special!

Not a review but an observation. A lot of friends and family members in the area raved about this place, however their recent DineSafe To inspection came up as "Conditional". The big ones that worried me are improper food temperatures and pest control. Hoping they can address these issues soon so I can see what folks are raving about.

The sever came straight from the cashier and use unwashed hands, no tongs, no gloves and argued that if she uses tongs the cakes can slip. Saturday, Sep 23 1:37pm, check the camera. Basic hygiene rules.

The cakes & pastries are amazing. Staff are very welcoming with A+ customer service. Ms. Sanj & Jessica are very lovely. We even tried the freshly baked cookies & coffee are really good too. We'll definitely come back to try other desserts. Highly recommended!

Found this bakery in Too Good Too Go. Really really good deal. Staff is extremely friendly and very very welcoming!! Tried their cookies and baked tarts - all are extremely delicious. Had a special request but the staff was way too helpful and welcoming to accommodate. Definitely would come back again to try their other products! <3

Best croissant. Flaky, buttery, perfect level of moisture, baked to perfection. Highly recommend going here. Coffee is pretty good as well.

Excellent sandwiches and pastries. Add a coffee or tea, and you're set for breakfast or lunch. Order ahead of time or get a quick service on site. Stay inside at a table or take it to go as you wish.
