The food was delicious! We tried the Red Dragon and Black Tan Tan; I personally preferred the Red Dragon for its spiciness. We also enjoyed the Age Tofu and Mango Pudding. Every bite was incredible, taking me straight back to Japan.

$20.95 for this bowl of mediocre tasting ramen is ridiculous. Go to literally any other ramen shop in the city, you’ll find better value

Great experience, staff was so polite and accomodating. I ordered Spicy Red Miso Ramen, and trust me, it is one of the best Ramens I have tried in Toronto. While I write this review, I can still feel the taste in my mouth! It was that good! Spice level was perfect for my taste. Also, the portion size was great, I couldn’t finish lol

Had the red dragon and the miso ramen. Both were very good. The vegetarian options were equally as good as the other broths, which is tough to find at ramen places.

Tried their spicy miso ramen, the vegetarian option comes with soy meat! The ramen was good, bit high on the salty side. The aged tofu is AMAZING!

Food was good and soup was very very good. However very disappointed to find multiple hairs in my food while eating. Recommend to check your bowl before eating.

The broth was great and had a depth but a bit salty! The meat wasn’t as tender as I’ve had it for comparison, but the egg was very well done — perfectly yolky.

We all enjoyed our dishes but not great enough for me to crave or seek out. If they improved their meat and eased on the salt, I’d definitely try again…!

Service was also great and friendly. I did find, though, that the tables were arranged poorly. It was hard for us to get to our table and back out. Poor interior organization.

Excellent ramen, quick, delicious. The pork was particularly tender and the noodles perfect!

we had the default thin noodles, it’s doneness is good, a bit al dente and not soggy. the problem with it is it has a distinct taste like chinese yellow noodle, after some time its taste overpowered the taste of the broth. typically ramen noodles are subtle to highlight the broth.
will we come back? not so soon, we’ll try other highly rated ramen places first to compare.
btw our standard for ramen is Nantsuttei and Ramen Nagi, hopefully we’ll find a place at par with those two here in Toronto.

It’s a 4* review, but honestly, I could find no fault in the ramen. It was just a good, hearty bowl of ramen. I have no criticisms in terms of the food.

The spiciness was just right to give it a little kick without overwhelming the flavours. The soup was deep and delicious, and there was a generous amount of noodles.

The price was a bit high but probably normal for downtown Toronto.

The only reason I didn’t give this a 5* is because it didn’t feel exceptional - but it’s still a really, REALLY good bowl of ramen. Definitely come here.

Vegetarian options: There’s a vegan option

Ramen Isshin definitely feels like a Tokyo ramen shop on the inside. Service was prompt and friendly. Ramen broth for the Red Dragon Miso and Roasted Garlic were both extremely rich and flavourful. However, the star of the show was the fresh mango kakigori (shaved ice dessert) we had at the end. It was fresh, rich and the texture of the shaved ice was so light and fluffy. We would return just for dessert.

Note: They are also nut allergy friendly and all allergens are clearly listed.
