I don’t know if it is just this location but this was probably the worst ramen I have ever had in my life. It tasted basically like mr noodles and it was $20 for the small bowl of instant noodles.

Definitely some of the best ramen I’ve ever had! I had no shame lifting the bowl to drink the broth! Loves the Spicy vegetarian! The egg was perfect and jammy in the middle!

It just took them 3 mins to make the ramen. It was delicious.

Tbh the ambiance of this spot is great, super cool vibe. Wish I could say the same about the ramen; was it bad? No, but it was it as good as thought it was going to be? Also no. Slightly overpriced for average ramen but I can't knock this place too hard seeing as it was my first try - definitely will be going back to try their Shoyu broth but probably after 2PM lol (20% off some menu items between 2pm-6pm)

Been there twice and both times I've been underwhelmed (staff are great though). Their college location is better. This time I ordered veggie miso ramen with kale noodles and asked for no tofu as I can't eat it. Got all the way home and found out they added tofu. I couldn't eat it, so I had to scrounge for rice noodles in my cupboard. I was very angry considering I just spent $50 on this plus a shoyu ramen for my husband. They also don't have a phone number so I couldn't even call them to try to fix the situation.

We didn’t like the Ramen, it was way too creamy what was weird. The egg was unexpected sweet, never ate a egg like this in a Ramen. The Takoyaki were okay but too cold. The only good dish was the Karaage Don.I’m sure there a better Ramen shops.

Delicious ramen! The temperature was perfect for my sensitive teeth and tongue. Just slurped the noodles away with my girlfriend and her family. Slurping symphony. We ordered the roasted garlic shoyu ramen, kottori shoyu ramen, spicy white sesame shio ramen, chicken shio ramen, and chicken karaage. Since the first two are common, I'll just say it was what we expected and good quality. The spicy white ramen is at a good spice level that my girl can handle and the chicken was perfectly juicy and tender! Not dry at all.The karaage is a four piece so if you have 5 people, tough luck - go ahead and fight over it. Oh and it had great flavour. Also, I took a picture of the UPDATED menu (prices) because none of the reviewers had a good image of it. Enjoy!(Props to my girl for finding this place)

If pictures are worth a thousand words then let this tell the story of how delicious this dish is. Real depth of flavour and incredible tasting broth. Well done gentlemen. I will be back soon!

Delicious and adorable location! Need to first comment about the location of Ramen Isshin. It's inside of Chef's Hall which has plenty of seating and is absolutely adorable inside. They also have a back patio! Now onto the ramen! I was here during lunch and got the garlic shoyu which was creamy, decadent and packed with flavour. Came with two pieces of cha siu, half a soft boiled egg, bamboo shoots and nori. Ramen was nice and bouncy, just as ramen should be like. Broth was nice and salty. Soft boiled egg was nicely marinated and delicious! Would come back to try their other options!

Good food, fine oasis, bad poetry. Located in the chefs' assembly hall below a major international spying and tracking organization (use Startpage, people), Ramen Isshin claims to be authentic Japanese, and it mostly is, but there were no Japanese employees when I visited. It was a hot day and I tried the cold lemon ramen, which also served the purpose of having something different. It was a good choice for the aforementioned reason, but I am not convinced it is a sublime culinary mix. The lemon slices were frozen and ice cubes (or ice orbs more accurately) were added to the ramen. It was topped with mushrooms and contained no eggs or chashu. The noodles were probably the chewiest I have ever had. They were even chewier than a tsukemen ramen's, but became strangely less chewy a few moments out of the broth. It was refreshing, cool and a very good choice for citrus fans. I also tasted their takoyaki, which was saucy and well done. It was better than most so no complaints there. The food and the side dish came in elegant black bowls. Sadly, they were out of ramune. How could they not have ramune when they are selling me lemon ramen?? I had water instead. Prices are creeping higher and a meal is $20 now. The atmosphere is fine for dining outdoors as it was not raining and was a hot day although the patio could use some greenery. It was all going well until towards the end of my meal someone remembered to turn on the PA system and out of the overhead speakers came bad poetry with no music (a.k.a. rap), which is always a drag. The calm and tranquility shattered sadly, I wondered why don't they at least try having music instead of hip hop and why does it have to be so loud. Funniest thing was that a little girl on the other side sitting on a bench and dining with her mother immediately put her hands on her ears, which is exactly what I wanted to do.

They have half the choices (many are traditional/ popular ones) offered at other location. Having to choose from such a limited menu, our meal was okay. It's self-serving so we couldnt rate the service. Given the affordable pricing and such prime location, it's definitely a great choice for office meals. But if you're going out for a good meal/ good time, try Ramen Isshin on College St then

Ramen Isshin is located inside of Chef's Hall which is a collection of restaurants that you can order from. I had the chicken karage add an appetizer and the roasted garlic shoyu ramen. The karage was surprisingly tiny for the price. There were only 4 pieces so for $8, so you might be better off getting a full piece of chicken from your favorite fried chicken place. Luckily the ramen was pretty tasty. My friend had the rich shoyu and agreed that mine was definitely stronger in flavor. The egg was a standout but you only get half an egg.

Tried this location for the first time today - it was nice! I like this place for their vegetarian broth. Super tasty and a good portion size. The only thing is I didn't realize there was no waiter service before coming, but it's not that big of a deal because it was still enjoyable. Would probably stop by again if I'm in the area!

Excellent garlic ramen. As good if not better than most … can’t go wrong!

Ramen here is incredible and the staff are always so friendly! Ignore the reviews that say the portion sizes are smaller than the main location - that’s not true. I asked about it, and the staff clarified it’s because they only use one bowl size that has to fit all ramen types at the chefs hall, whereas at the other location they use bowl sizes that are made to perfectly fit each specific ramen type and all the portions are measured the exact same way. I hope you aren’t deterred by those reviews because this place is definitely worth a visit. Try the roast garlic shoyu or the wok fried spicy miso!!! You’ll never wanna go to another ramen place again
