Authentic and absolutely delicious local Greek place. Real Greek Gyros is a hidden gem in Riverdale. I would walk by many times and never actually tried before. My Greek friend who is from Athens recommended it to me, and now I completely understand why. I had the pork gyros btw pronounced as gee-ros, not jai-ros , and it was honestly one of the best I’ve had juicy, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. You can tell they take pride in doing it the authentic Greek way. Also learned that gyros means rotating grill.
The portion was huge definitely come hungry, and everything tasted so fresh from the warm pita to the crisp potatoes. It felt like a little taste of Greece right here at home.
If you love Greek food or just want a really satisfying meal, Real Greek Gyros is 100% worth checking out. I’m already planning to go back and try the beef or chicken next time.

The title makes it seem like authentic Greek but it tastes more like donair then authentic Greek gyro. Yes they put fries in it which is great but it didn’t taste like they put tzatziki at all and the chicken was dry and hard. I was quite disappointed for the price they charge. Their fries on the other hand are perfect and very authentic. The service and friendliness of the staff was great though.

Employee who made my chicken souvlaki dinner on Saturday October 4th put nose hairs in my food, absolutely disgusting. This employee should be fired, there is no way these got in there by accident. I will never buy food from here again until they are fired,
Amazing 👏 I just tried a Chicken 🐔 Gyro on a Pita & they really load it up. Try Greek Fries 🍟 with the Feta Cheese 🧀 it's the Bomb 💣 😋. The girl who works here is absolutely 💯 % beautiful 😍 too.
