Service is always great. Food too. I come often for business breakfast. Last time in the morning we were seated next to a party of 6 and it was a bit loud.
We went to Reign for a business lunch with out of country clients. I have been to the restaurant many times before and the drinks, food, and service have been exceptional. On this occasion, the food and cocktails were delicious as always, but the service was lacking and confused. There were long periods where no service was provided. The waiter asked if we were ready to order our food, when we said yes, he walked away. Food was delivered to the wrong people. (We sorted it out ourselves.) The credit card machine was dropped off, the waiter left, the machine didn't work and it took almost 15 minutes for the waiter to return. As we all had to get back to work, I was tempted to simply leave. (Reign had my credit card on file with the reservation.) For well over $100/person for lunch, I was expecting better service.
Always enjoy eating at Reign. Service and food quality is consistently top notch. A special shoutout to the Chefs who do incredible work preparing the meals. They often go unnoticed.
Thoroughly enjoyed our time. We were there to watch game 6 of the World Series, so it wasn't as quiet as I imagine it usually is, but that suited us just fine.
I can not say enough about this wonderful experience The Royal York never disappoints From the food to the fantastic service
Excellent service as always and great cocktails! Quite lively today with the Jays game scheduled.
Excellent as expected. Top tier service, great food, and the ambience was much more conducive to conversation than the Library Bar and Clockwork these days. Will be back!
Our experience was wonderful. From the bubbly hostess, to our attentive and informative waitress. Our meals were delicious and great portions. My husband said his drink from the bar (old fashioned) was the best he's ever had. Will definitely return.
Amazing service and great vibe!!! We are so glad that we had our family thanksgiving dinner together here!
This is not a restaurant at which to order steak. The steak in my steak sandwich was rubbery and tasteless and was cut in a way that there was rind around the pieces. I couldn't bite into it. I removed all of the steak because it was inedible, but the rest of the sandwich was equally as tasteless. My companions had steak frites and said their plates were good but we all agreed that in future the better place to go for steak is The Keg. Overall, the cost of the lunch was not warranted by the quality of the food. One more thing - our waitperson did not seem to notice the unusually large mound of steak left on my plate and did not ask why it was there, but I won't hold it against her because she didn't cook the food. She was otherwise quite pleasant.

The ambiance of the hotel, the festivities of travel, bar activity was lovely. We had a late dinner at 8 pm. The only time granted by OpenTable. However, the restaurant seemed empty when we arrived? Made me question, the late booking time? When leaving the hotel was flooded with Jay fans, disrespectful, loud, obnoxious behavior. Eating and drinking on the benches, food on the floor, it seemed a bit overwhelming. If I am paying additional fees for the ambience, then perhaps I should be warned that the hotel opens it's doors after game nights for parking and evening events for downtown games. I understand that the hotel takes advantage of these events and welcomes all event patrons, however, if security moved some of the people taking advantage of the hotel's facilities and moved them on to their appropriate places, or exits to their cars, perhaps it would feel controled for some of us that are trying to enjoy the prestigious environment we are paying extra for? The food, the turkey dinner was horrible, the turkey as like rubber, tasted more like ham. The stuffing was dried out in a tower of overdone toast. Watery mashed potatoes, real? Not sure. Overdone, burned brussel sprouts (3) sat on top. Tasteless sauce, not gravy on the plate with a dab of cranberry sauce with no taste. Both should have been presented on the side! The sevice was 3 starts! Attentive, professional and kind, especially to my 8 yr old twins. We were not charged for the three turkey dinners and this was absolutely appreciated. Steaks, terrific! Ceasars salad, delicious but way over dressed.
We really enjoyed our delicious Thanksgiving Dinner at Reign and our server, Erin was absolutely wonderful. We'd definitely go again. The whole dining experience was EXCELLENT!
First off Robert is what every server should aspire to be. I don’t know how this restaurant got him but they secured a keeper. I love Gin and he was the Gin plug, he served me my drinks and educated me about other options he would recommend me try both in the restaurant and options they don’t stock. He treated my children with valid patrons and was even blessed with a smile from my grouchy baby who never smiles at ANYONE. Thank you Robert for making this dining experience the highlight of our trip to Toronto!
