I love this place! The coffee is great, pastries are delicious and baristas are super friendly and professional. I especially love barista Jane, she’s super nice and very attentive. She makes my coffee exactly how I like it. She knows what I usually order without me even asking for it 😉. She is the best! She is my girl! 🫶🏻

I came to Remarkable Bean for a matcha latte and accidentally experienced a very well-written moment in my day. Jane the barista deserves her own subplot, she is very cheerful, friendly, and clearly the bright spark keeping the place in motion. The matcha latte was excellent, but the interaction was better, which feels intentional somehow. This place quietly upgrades your day and doesn’t make a big deal about it.

Delicious coffee, silky lattes, and outstanding pastries made with real butter. Butter tarts, cherry danish, cheddar scones, and brownies with or without walnuts are top of mind standouts. Gorgeous flaky and tender croissants as well.

Excellent dark roast. So rich and smooth. Places come and go in our neighbourhood, but The Bean has been in The Beach for decades so this goes to show you just how great this hot spot for coffee is.

the espresso is absolutely awful, everything on the menu is horribly overpriced, the workers aren’t trained properly and don’t know what they’re doing, and there are always 5-10 seniors loitering outside, smoking cigarettes and blocking the entire sidewalk all day long.
i like to support local businesses when it makes sense, but there is absolutely no reason to go here instead of tim hortons, where they actually clean their espresso machine regularly and aren’t brazenly overpriced.
if your coffee is worse than a fast food restaurant’s, you don’t deserve to survive as a business. whoever owns this place is clearly very out of touch.
